  • Patent number: 5944442
Abstract: A manhole extender ring system 2 comprises an annular base member 4 having a flange 24 disposed therein, an annular insert member 32 slidably disposed within the base member 4 and supported by the flange 24, an annular ring member 44 having a ring top surface 46 slidably engaging the insert member 32 and supported by the base member 4 and a cover member 62 having a cover top surface substantially flush with the ring top surface 46 slidably disposed within the ring member 44 and supported by the insert member 32. The ring member 44 is removably mounted to the base member 4 by use of a variable, elongate stabilizer bracket 70 having a J-shaped end 78 and a C-shaped end 86. The J-shaped end 78 removably engages a shoulder 60 of the ring member 44 and the C-shaped end 86 removably engages the flange 24.

  • Patent number: 5809700
Abstract: The ground engaging restraint device (2) comprises a ground spike (4) and a clasp (6). Comprising the clasp is a head (48), a pin (50) and a pair of arms (52) having teeth (64). The ground spike has a receiver (12) having a bore (20) and circumferential notches (24), an elongated shaft (16) having a ground-engaging stop (18). In one embodiment the shaft has a plurality of interconnected webs (36), and in another embodiment the shaft has a helical blade (72) fixed concentrically about the shaft. A portion of an article (14) is placed over and inserted into the bore by placing the clasp over the receiver, causing the pin to enter the bore and frictionally engage the article between the pin and the bore. Teeth of a pair of arms engage a plurality of notches (24) on the receiver, removably retaining the clasp on the receiver.

  • Patent number: 5803792
Abstract: An anti-slipping support for a brassiere shoulder strap 5 has a pliant, elongate bridge plate 1 with a curvature. An upper surface 6 of the bridge plate has a groove 9 proximate an elongate axis. The groove has a securing surface that can be smooth, textured or have a plurality of protrusions 11, each having a gripping surface 12, extending therefrom. A pliant flap 13 is mounted to the upper surface. The respective brassiere shoulder strap is positioned within the groove and beneath the flap to secure the bridge plate from movement along the strap and to provide a smooth top surface. A lower surface of the bridge plate is provided with a cushion pad, which can be either permanently mounted or detachable from the bridge plate. Ventilation orifices 23 can be provided in the bridge plate. Another embodiment has a pair of spaced apart T-shaped strap bays 37 respectively located proximate first and second ends 2 and 3 of the bridge plate to receive the respective brassiere shoulder strap.

  • Patent number: 5474487
Abstract: A support for a brassiere shoulder strap has an elongate bridge plate of desired rigidity with a curvature sized and shaped to form-fit on a woman's shoulder beneath a brassiere strap between an area proximate the clavicle bone in the front and a position proximate a downward-curving rear portion of the shoulder. A bottom surface of the bridge plate is provided with walls, at least two of which are recessed, surrounding a cushion receptacle into which a cushion pad can be inserted and held in cushioning relationship between the bridge plate and the woman's shoulder. The cushion pad can be attached to and detached from the bridge plate conveniently and easily for cleaning, servicing and replacement. The elongate bridge plate can be shaped variously, preferably having a generally elliptical form. Each shoulder strap of a brassiere is positioned on top of a bridge plate and extended down through a T-shaped strap-attachment bay and onto a shoulder of the woman forwardly and rearwardly.
