    Abstract: Described are formulations and methods for animal pest control. A formulation for topical administration to animal pests includes a solution including an effective amount of cholecalciferol (also known as Vitamin D3) and at least one dermal penetrant or carrier, such that a lethal dose of the cholecalciferol can be delivered transdermally to an animal pest in solution, thereby being absorbed into the animal's bloodstream and subsequently causing the death of the animal. The formulation and method is effective at killing pests such as mice, rats, stoats, weasels, ferrets, rabbits, hedgehogs and possums.
