  • Patent number: 6194808
Abstract: The surface acoustic wave functional element comprises a semiconductor layer provided on a piezoelectric substrate or a piezoelectric film substrate and makes use of interaction between a surface acoustic wave propagating on the substrate and electrons in the substrate layer, but has the semiconductor layer disposed outside above the propagation path for propagating a surface acoustic wave, comprises a plurality of grating electrodes perpendicularly above and to the propagation path and moreover the semiconductor layer comprises an active layer and a buffer layer lattice-matching thereto. By use of this surface acoustic wave functional element, a surface acoustic wave amplifier capable of providing a high amplification gain at a practical low voltage, a surface acoustic wave convolver having a higher efficiency than ever or the like are offered.

  • Patent number: 5103973
Abstract: A lid for a can-shaped container which lid is adapted to be connected to a peripheral wall of the can-shaped container is disclosed which comprises a can-shaped container lid base having a gas barrier-type multi-layer base, a thermoplastic resin layer, a score portion formed by thinning part of the thermoplastic resin layer on the upper surface of the bottom of the base into an annular shape; and a synthetic resin tab for opening the can-shaped container lid. The tab is connected to an upper surface of a tab seat constituted by that portion of the thermoplastic resin layer disposed inwardly of the score portion.

  • Patent number: 5059360
Abstract: A method for making a lid for a can-like container is disclosed which comprises a gas barrier-type multi-layer base for the lid, a reinforcing thermoplastic resin layer formed on said multi-layer base, and a tab seat of synthetic resin having a tab and formed on that portion of the upper surface of the bottom surrounded by said reinforcing thermoplastic resin layer. The tab seat is disposed in spaced relation to said upper surface of the bottom and disposed in such a manner that a score portion having as small a width as possible is formed between the outer periphery of the tab seat and the inner peripheral edge of said reinforcing thermoplastic resin layer. The upper surface of said bottom is exposed through the score portion.

  • Patent number: 3944643
Abstract: A method for manufacturing shaped articles by injection-blow molding. A thermoplastic material is first formed into a bottomed parison by injection-molding said material onto the surface of an injection molding core. The bottomed parison formed on the surface of the core is cooled to a temperature at which it is easily removed from the core, and is removed therefrom. The parison is heated again to a predetermined temperature and the reheated parison is transferred to a blow molding mold, wherein the parison is blow-molded.
