  • Publication number: 20240034154
Abstract: A magnetic HVIL system for a drive in a transport application includes a Hall effect sensor within at least one housing of the drive that includes terminals and a removable cover. The removable cover includes a magnet having a magnetic field that is detectable by the Hall effect sensor when the removable cover is installed on the housing. The magnetic field of the magnet is not detectable by the Hall effect sensor when the removable cover is removed from the housing. The magnet HVIL system is configured to be operable to enable active operation of the drive when the Hall effect sensor detects the magnetic field of the magnet and is in a closed circuit condition and disable operation of the drive when the Hall effect sensor does not detect the magnetic field of the magnet and is in an open circuit condition.

  • Patent number: 9924708
Abstract: A game call device which can be tossed from a concealed position. A preferred embodiment includes a flat bottom surface which is weighted such that the device will land against that face. A button located within the flat bottom surface activates the device, turning on a speaker which plays a sound. The sound will typically be the sound of a prey animal, intended to draw a predator animal to the device. Because the device is tossed from a concealed location, the device can be deployed without the user being forced to physically disturb the area where the call is placed, thereby decreasing the likelihood of being detected by the animal.

  • Publication number: 20170172234
Abstract: An exothermic glove insert for warming fingertips. The thermal inserts are very thin, ergonomically designed heat packs for use on each individual finger or thumb. The inserts have a non-permeable membrane heat pack cover that allows specifically placed pin holes to produce heat according to a desired profile exactly where it needs to be provided.

  • Patent number: 9001979
Abstract: An electronic advertising system anonymously directs the attention of a user to content provided by an advertiser, in exchange for subsequently permitting the same user to access otherwise restricted desirable content of another part. Such desirable content may include online entertainment media, digital video content, social media, news media, and other privileged services or data. The user accumulates points, or virtual currency, in exchange for viewing the advertisements of vendor affiliates of the present system. The user may then spend previously accumulated points, or virtual currency, in order to access desirable content of redeemer affiliates of the present system. The present system further facilitates financial transactions between the system operator, vendor affiliates, and redeemer affiliates, relative to the movement of virtual currency amongst the various parties.

  • Publication number: 20130292439
Abstract: Disclosed is a single layer, light weight, themed slip on cover for a GPS “unit” that allows the “end user” the ability to display an expression of individual style, character, belief and/or personal concepts. The slip on cover offers the “end user” the ability to theme and cover an existing GPS “unit”. The single layer, light weight, themed slip on cover fits tightly over the existing GPS “unit”, allowing the “end user” unobstructed access to the interactive features and controls of the GPS “unit”. The single layer, light weight, themed slip on cover offers no claimed protection from shock and or impact damage to a GPS “unit”, and is merely a “novelty” cover intended for purposes of display.

  • Publication number: 20100191323
Abstract: A stent may help to reconstruct tissue in a vessel by causing the tissue to re-epithelialize. The stent may include a biodegradable frame and a sheet that coats the frame. The sheet may contain a biological material and may flex in unison with the frame in a radial direction. When placed in a vessel, the stent may at least partially conform to at least a portion of a vessel wall. The stent may be capable of being absorbed over a period of time, such as five years, one year, or six months. The stent may flex as the vessel wall dilates and constricts. The stent may be placed in any type of vessel including an artery and mobile vessels. The biodegradable frame may be made of a poly-lactide and/or magnesium. The sheet may contain a biological material including biologic arterial graft and/or an acellular dermal matrix.

  • Patent number: 7108083
Abstract: An apparatus and method for completing an interval of a wellbore while drilling comprises a drill string (52) having a drill bit (30) mounted on the lower end thereof. A completion assembly (50) is positioned around a section of the drill string (52) such that when the wellbore (32) is extended by rotating the drill bit (30) and advancing the drill string (52), the completion assembly (50) does not rotate. The advancement of the drill string (52) and rotation of the drill bit (30) is ceased when the completion assembly (50) has reached the desired interval of the wellbore (32). Thereafter, the drill string (52) is disconnected from the drill bit (30) for retrieval to the surface leaving the completion assembly (50) and the drill bit (30) downhole.

  • Patent number: 6806827
Abstract: The correlation circuitry of the present invention operates in communication with a controller and transform circuitry to concurrently search a range of frequencies by correlating a received signal from the global positioning system (GPS) with a generated frequency and a generated code at a plurality of time offsets. The output of the correlation circuitry is provided to the transform circuitry, such as fast Fourier transform (FFT) circuitry, that transforms the output of the correlation circuitry. The results from the transformation circuitry are used by a GPS receiver to determine a frequency of the received GPS signal and a time offset associated with a ranging code carried in the received GPS signal.

  • Patent number: 6777029
Abstract: The present invention is generally directed to a method of controlling a pyrolytic carbon deposition coating process performed in a fluidized bed. In one illustrative embodiment, the method comprises positioning a product to be coated in the fluidized bed, determining a coating rate of carbon material formed on the product in the fluidized bed, and determining a desired duration of the coating process by dividing a desired coating thickness for the product by the determined coating rate.

  • Publication number: 20040095272
Abstract: The controller of the present invention is incorporated in a global positioning system (GPS) receiver and operates to control the power consumed by the receiver by controlling the clocking of numerous domains. Each domain includes circuitry associated with different functions of the receiver. For example, the receiver of the present invention includes domains for each channel, where the channels are used to locate and track GPS signals. When one or more of the channels are not in use, the controller deactivates the clock signal to the one or more unused channels, thereby minimizing the power consumed by the receiver.

  • Patent number: 6725617
Abstract: A waterproof deck (10) is formed with a subfloor (20) having a waterproof sheet (30) covering the subfloor. A T-bar strip (32) has its stem (34) positioned at the edge of the subfloor, on the waterproof sheet. Protrusions (44) in the stem of the T-bar strip maintain the stem a sufficient distance away from the waterproof sheet and the underlying structure to form water passages at the free edge of the deck, which allows any water seepage through the concrete to drain at the free edge of the deck. Flashing at the sides of the deck shield the T-bar strip from direct contact with the adjacent vertical wall surfaces of the building structure.
