    Abstract: An adaptor is provided for connecting a valve to a pipe fitting, wherein the valve and the fitting have different diameters. The adaptor has a first end sized for insertion into the pipe fitting and retention thereby, and a second threaded end for threadably receiving an end of the valve. The adaptor allows a portion of the valve to be recessed within the fitting, and provides a compact, strong connection between the valve and the fitting.
