The remote device location detector may determine the location of remote device(s). The information collection module may collect data associated with the remote device(s) within the field of view. The presentation module may present identifying information for each of the one or more remote devices on the display, the identifying information determined at least in part using the data. The selection module may pick selected remote device(s) from the remote device(s). The linking module may link to the selected remote device(s).

A constellation addresses aggregate capabilities provided by a combination of devices and/or software available on the network. The network may define multiple constellations. Services are written for constellations, and the services may be pulled from external sources for use on the network. A server on the network, such as a service host, may coordinate and manage obtaining services from the external sources, and removing or disabling services for constellations no longer valid.

The methods and apparatus described herein convert a text based device list and/or a text based function list into text based voice prompt scripts. The voice prompt scripts are then read to a user via a text-to-speech engine. The user responds with a voice command for a device. The voice command is converted to text by a voice recognition engine. This text is then used to send a command to the electronic device via the network.
