Abstract: The operator of a excavator sits in a seat that has a one computer monitor on the left side and another computer monitor on the right side. A control system produces first and second sets of information regarding operation of the excavator with the first set of information being particularly relevant to the digging operation. The selection of which computer monitor displays which of the first and second sets of information depends on a direction that the excavator swings between a digging site and a dumping site and that selection changes as the direction changes. This presents the first set of information on the computer monitor that is easily observable by the excavator operator during the digging operation.

Abstract: Heavy equipment includes first and second hydraulic pumps, and first and second hydraulic actuators, where the first hydraulic actuator facilitates a first work function of the heavy equipment and the second hydraulic actuator facilitates a second work function of the heavy equipment. The heavy equipment further includes valving and a computerized controller. The valving is configured to allow the first hydraulic pump to be coupled to the first hydraulic actuator and the second hydraulic actuator, and to allow the second hydraulic pump to be coupled to the first hydraulic actuator and the second hydraulic actuator. The computerized controller is coupled to the valving, and has a logic module.

Abstract: A cone crusher with wear indicator. The cone crusher comprises a frame, a head rotatably supported on the frame, a bowl supported on the frame in spaced relation to the head, a liner mounted on one of the head and the bowl, and an indicator for indicating wear of the liner. Preferably, the indicator includes a recess defined by the liner, and the recess is revealed upon erosion of the wearing surface of the liner. Preferably, the cone crusher further comprises a backing material between the liner and the one of the head and the bowl. The backing material preferably fills the recess and is different from the material of which the liner is formed.
