    Abstract: A strike plate assembly which includes a rigid unitary strike adapted for use with a door jamb having an inner bolt receiving face and a door stop portion. The strike includes a bolt receiving face plate, a door stop plate, and a offset plate joining the bolt receiving face plate and the door stop plate. A plurality of anchor cylinders or pins extend from both the bolt receiving face plate and the door stop plate. The strike plate is secured to both the bolt receiving face and the door stop portion of the door jamb. The anchor pins extend through the door jamb and into the door support structure behind the door jamb.
