    Abstract: This invention provides an apparatus and a method of using the apparatus to lift a load, such as one end of a vehicle, to enable movement of the load from one location to another. The apparatus is comprised of an elongated member, such as a beam, and a winch slidably mounted on the elongated member which, in combination with the load itself and a stationary base, such as another vehicle, operates to lift and move the load.
