  • Publication number: 20180235160
Abstract: A system to deter and repel deer or other animals from rubbing on trees or eating foliage using a modified bubble pack having first and second layers of plastic film attached together and defining a multiplicity of spaced apart, primary chambers therebetween, and an optional third layer defining a multiplicity of spaced apart secondary chambers aligned generally adjacent the primary chambers, with animal repellent within the primary chamber, and propellant within the secondary chamber that upon activation of the propellant causes the animal repellent to be expelled outward. The repellent may be liquid, gas or powder, and may be mixed with propellant in a primary chamber. In another embodiment, repellent For filingis exposed by chamber puncture. An adhesive backing may be applied to sheets of bubble pack that are rolled or cut into sheets.

  • Publication number: 20150096226
Abstract: An enhanced ground cover whereby voids in the bodies are created for reception of material that exceeds the density of water that is placed in the voids for stable engagement by adhesive, fixing agents or by puncturing the material and inserting high density material or by embedding into the ground cover by high speed projectiles. The material may be covered in a sealant or UV inhibitor. A method includes flooding a reaction vessel with at least. two reactants, allowing reaction by product to settle fixably onto ground cover article. There is shown a method for treating ground cover adding a first substance to an article of ground cover, adding a second substance to the article, reacting the first and second substances to form a higher than water density third substance fixedly attached thereby making the ground cover of a higher than water density.

  • Publication number: 20100290900
Abstract: A turbine system having a series of uprights or fingers disposed about the inner surface of a rotating ring having turbine blades disposed within the ring. As the turbine blades are motivated by water movement, the fingers or uprights cause increased power by increasing the flow characteristics of the turbine system. The uprights can be of a variety of lengths and may be directed toward the central hub of the turbine or pointed at angles to the hub. Alternatively, the uprights may be bent on the end or curved to create a vortex into the main turbine blades.

  • Publication number: 20060266038
Abstract: A system for power generation through movement of water having an array of power generating cells hydraulically interconnected where the array is composed of cells in a interchangeable modular arrangement, the cells are positioned to receive kinetic energy from the movement of water, and the cells convert the energy by the movement of water through a turbine that drives a hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pumps may be hydraulically isolated from each other and are connected through a hydraulic motor to a generator which may be an AC synchronous induction motor. The power generating cell may also be comprised of a single turbine and hydraulic pump combination that in turn drives a motor.

  • Publication number: 20060168960
Abstract: A solar collector for focusing radiant energy having a longitudinal member having translucent refraction and a lens that is positioned to receive electromagnetic radiation from the sun having a variable cross sectional dimension along its length positioned in proximity to a vessel of liquid; where the solar energy is focused on the liquid at a plurality of focal points of different length. The solar collectors may be used in a system for power generation where the lens has a variable cross sectional profile along its length disposed in proximity to a liquid for converting an inlet stream of liquid to an outlet flow of steam and a heat engine responsive to the liquid flow of steam for generating mechanical energy. The system may be used to power electrical turbines to store energy or supply the grid. The lenses may of a variety of cross sectional dimensions to focus the solar energy on various focal points within the liquid path.

  • Publication number: 20050248162
Abstract: A machine and system for power generation through movement of water having an array of power generating cells electrically interconnected, where the array is configured in an interchangeable modular fashion and the cells are positioned to receive kinetic energy from the movement of water to generate electricity through the movement of an electrical turbine within each cell. The individual turbines and cells may generate relatively small amounts of electricity and use polymer magnetics in the impellers and windings in the turbine to withstand ocean environments and are stacked on electrically conductive trays for ease of installation and replacement.
