  • Patent number: 7066250
Abstract: A vibrator apparatus for inducing longitudinal vibrations in a well tubing or casing member for various operations, or for removing stuck tubing or casing. The apparatus includes a vibrator section with spaced apart rotatable shafts carrying eccentric weights and interconnected by timing gears. The shafts are driven by respective pressure fluid motors. The vibrator section is mounted on an isolator section including spaced apart pressure fluid cylinder assemblies for isolating vibrations generated by the apparatus from wellhead structure supporting the apparatus. A fluid flow circuit includes a pump, a manifold, flow control devices for generating fluid flow through the cylinder assemblies and accumulators for damping fluid pressure and flow fluctuations in the circuit.

  • Patent number: 5697438
Abstract: A support mechanism for a mill, particularly usable with a whipstock and driven by a downhole motor supported by coiled tubing is disclosed. The support mechanism comprises a wearable ring adjacent the cutting structure which, when assembled into the downhole assembly, keeps the rotating blades away from the whipstock face and oriented toward the casing to be cut. As the milling progresses, the support mechanism wears away to allow advancement of the mill into the casing to complete the formation of the window or opening.

  • Patent number: 5690170
Abstract: An overshot cutter for suspension from coiled tubing that includes an elongate housing which includes a drive piston at the upper end with adjustable axial passage, an inner barrel there-below, and a cutter piston extending a collet cutter next below and finally a restrictor block; whereby the housing lower end is positioned down over a fish for hydraulic release of the drive piston to drive the inner barrel and cutter piston downward thereby to close the collet cutter within the restrictor block to cut the tubing below the fish.
