  • Patent number: 6921109
Abstract: The present invention relates to a steering linkage device which transmits a user's input motion to at least one wheel of a vehicle, wherein the steering linkage device produces an output motion of a particular magnitude. The ratio of the magnitude of the input motion to the magnitude of the output motion varies, depending upon the magnitude of the input motion. The steering linkage device enhances the steering control of vehicle users by varying the steering responsiveness for different steering motions made by the users.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 29, 2002
Date of Patent: July 26, 2005
    Assignee: Deere & Company
Inventors: Wayne Robert Hutchison, David Lewis Marchese

  • Patent number: 6467853
Abstract: A thrust washer structure includes a non-rotating washer which bears against the transmission housing. A rotating outer washer is positioned over the axle and includes a tab projecting at a right angle from a portion of the washer face such that the tab engages an existing keyway in the wheel hub or bushing utilized to transmit drive from the axle to the drive wheel.

  • Patent number: 5784870
Abstract: A mower deck lift mechanism which includes a friction disk selectively pivotable into engagement with first and second pulleys of a double pulley jacksheave. A linkage coupled between the friction disk and the deck raises the mower deck when the friction disk engages and rotates with the first pulley, and lowers the deck when the friction disk engages and rotates with the second pulley. Neutral return mechanisms are provided for returning the friction disk to a neutral position when the operator releases a control and when the deck approaches its extreme raised or lowered positions. A cutting height preset mechanism is also provided.
