Patent number: 10519733Abstract: A setting tool for setting an auxiliary tool in a well includes a housing having a floating piston that separates a pressure chamber from a hydraulic chamber; and a plug that is removably located in a through passage of the floating piston. The through passage fluidly connects the pressure chamber to the hydraulic chamber, and the plug prevents a fluid to move from the pressure chamber to the hydraulic chamber or from the hydraulic chamber to the pressure chamber when attached to the floating piston.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2018Date of Patent: December 31, 2019Assignee: GEODYNAMICS, INC.Inventors: Wayne Rosenthal, Jeremy Eli Castaneda, Kevin George

Patent number: 10502013Abstract: A hydraulically activated setting tool for setting an auxiliary tool in a well, the setting tool including a housing that prevents a well fluid from entering inside the housing; a floating piston placed inside the housing and closing an end of a pressure chamber; an attached piston placed inside the housing and configured to actuate the auxiliary tool; a fluid chamber located between the floating piston and the attached piston, wherein the fluid chamber holds a fluid; and a communication element configured to establish a fluid communication between an outside and an inside of the housing. The fluid communication makes a well fluid in the well to directly act on the floating piston.Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 2018Date of Patent: December 10, 2019Assignee: GEODYNAMICS, INC.Inventors: Robert Davis, Wayne Rosenthal, Kevin George, David Wesson, Michael Wroblicky, Jeremy Castaneda

Patent number: 10167698Abstract: A configurable composite bridge plug apparatus and method for converting bridge plugs into frac plugs in the field of operation is disclosed. The bridge plug apparatus includes a body with a cylindrical hollow inner mandrel, an upper threaded end and a lower threaded end. A release ring with threads disposed on an outer surface is attached to the upper threaded end. An upper restriction element and a lower restriction element plug both ends of the hollow inner mandrel so that flow is restricted in either directions. A stand-off pin holds the lower restriction element in place. A ball seat inserted proximally to the upper restriction element towards the upper threaded end. A cage retainer is attached to the ball seat with a ball. The configurable bridge plug transformed to a frac plug by removing the upper restriction element and the lower restriction element from the bridge plug.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2016Date of Patent: January 1, 2019Assignee: GEODYNAMICS, INC.Inventor: Wayne Rosenthal

Publication number: 20100116592Abstract: A stepladder with four individually adjustable, self-locking rails so that the ladder can be placed on uneven terrain then safely adjusted to maintain level orientation. The ladder rails will consist of four pairs of outer and inner rails. Each outer and inner rail pair is designed with profiles that when brought together will lock into one another providing stability yet minimal friction. Each inner rail is held in place by a spring-loaded lever with attached hooks. The spring forces the hooks to be engaged with an adjustment bracket that is fixed to the outer rail. A foot will be fixed to the bottom of each inner rail. Each foot will have arched surfaces along 2 perpendicular horizontal axes so that consistent surface area contact is maintained with the ground regardless of the angle of the ground.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 11, 2008Publication date: May 13, 2010Inventors: Jeffrey David Clements, Rodney Wayne Rosenthal
