  • Patent number: 11507991
Abstract: This application relates to systems and methods for scaling and assembling framed images, and to offering the framed images for purchase. In some embodiments, a computing device is configured to receive a first customer selection of a frame style and a frame size, where the frame size indicates dimensions of a frame window. The computing device is also configured to receive a second customer selection of a mat style. Further, the computing device is configured to determine, based at least on the dimensions of the frame window and the mat style, a mat size, where the mat size includes dimensions of a mat window. The computing device is also configured to determine, based at least on the dimensions of the mat window, an image size for an image. For example, the computing device may execute a rule-based model, or a machine learning model, to determine the image size.

  • Patent number: 10922615
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention build models to predict the likelihood of entities that operate in a given identifier space also operating in a disjoined identifier space based on a source panel of entities that operate in one or both of the identifier spaces. In operation, a model building engine builds a model based on features associated with the source panel and features associated with standard populations in the given identifier space. The model is used to determine whether the target entity is more similar to those entities in the source panel that operate only in the given identifier space or those entities in the source panel that operate in both identifier spaces.

  • Patent number: 9808694
Abstract: A martial arts training device is provided. The device includes a stand. The base slides over the stand and is fillable to support the stand in an upright position when in use and resting on a surface. A main frame portion is secured to a top end of the stand, rotatable horizontally. At least one bar is secured to the main frame portion, rotatable vertically. The bar includes a foam padding about its second end. At least one counterweight is secured to the axle portion of the main frame portion and rotatable about the horizontal axis. The counterweight protrudes from a second side of the axle portion of the main frame portion opposite from the first side. A piston return portion can be optionally installed over the bar portion of the axle bar receiver. A ā€œCā€ spring secures to the main frame portion directly below the bar.

  • Patent number: 9576438
Abstract: A system and machine-implemented method for facilitating simulation of game play for playing a game, the method including receiving one or more wagers from a user on one or more outcomes of the game, the one or more wagers relating to one of a point total of a first hand and second hand or a condition regarding the values of each of the first hand and the second hand, initiating a randomization event to generate an outcome for the game, the randomization event being generated using a spin of a plurality of randomizer units. Determining the outcome of one or more of the plurality of randomizer units to determine an outcome from the one or more wagers and settling the one or more wagers according to the outcome.

  • Patent number: 9165432
Abstract: A gaming station that includes a plurality of player gaming units is provided. Each player gaming unit may include a betting area on a surface of a trapdoor. Such a trapdoor may support one or more chips in the betting area when the trapdoor is closed. When the trapdoor opens, the chips fall into an internal chip collection area. The player gaming unit may further include an adjustable screen. When the screen is in the closed position, the screen serves to block a player at the player gaming unit from accessing the betting area. When the screen is in the open position, the player is allowed to access the betting area. The gaming station may further include a sliding float for holding a plurality of chips. Such a sliding float may be movable past the plurality of player stations.

  • Patent number: 8904037
Abstract: Improvements for the efficiency of data transfer within interconnected components of a virtual network, and in particular components of a single physical computing device are provided. The components exchange data as if they were communicating over an actual communications network using networking protocols. Data packets to be sent from one component to another are buffered by final destination address to improve efficiency of packet delivery.

  • Publication number: 20120325956
Abstract: A handle and method for unrolling and deploying a sheet of material from a roll are provided. In a first configuration, the handle includes a rigid rod and a graspable arm that form an open quadrilateral frame. The frame is assembled to pierce through an open core of the roll of sheet material. The graspable arm may be manually manipulated while the roll of sheet material is constrained by the rod. In a second orientation, components of the frame are differently coupled to form an extended arm whereby an edge of the sheet material is captured at a far end of the extended arm, and a user may thus unroll the sheet material by forcing the far end of the extended arm to pull the sheet material away from the sheet material roll. A cap cylinder may couple the far end of the extended arm with the sheet material.

  • Patent number: 8136292
Abstract: A method and device for supporting a sheet of material is provided optionally for plant support and/or protection. A fencing device includes a rigid post and two or more flexible arms. A shading material, or a protective barrier material, such as a wire mesh, a plastic netting or a deer netting material, or a solar energy collection panel may be attached to distal ends of the flexible arms and may extend for seven feet or more from a ground plane to a top height of flexible arms above the ground plane. Flags may extend vertically above the barrier material to further discourage intrusion by animals. Horizontal lines may be extended from a plurality of fencing posts to even further discourage intrusion by animals and/or to support the barrier material. A trellising device may be coupled with and above another trellising device to provide layers of shading and plant support.

  • Patent number: 8041902
Abstract: A method, apparatus and program product are provided for moving data from a source memory zone to a target memory zone of a computer. A source host operating system invokes a synchronous multiple move command for SBAL output buffers with a common target zone. The machine firmware identifies and validates the target argument of the first SBAL, validates the target zone state, moves the data associated with the first SBAL to the target zone; and then iteratively moves the data associated with the remaining SBALs to the target zone.
