  • Publication number: 20060175459
Abstract: A spindle for rotatably holding a rolled wrap includes a hollow tubular body having a threaded rod axially movably received therein. A front section of the tubular body is axially cut to form two symmetrical halves, on inner wall surfaces of which two push blocks are correspondingly provided to define two forward tapered recesses. The threaded rod may be screwed inward to move a tapered front end through the two forward tapered recesses of the push blocks and thereby flares the two halves of the front section of the tubular body for the same to tightly contact with and hold the rolled wrap in place, allowing a user to tensely stretch an outward pulled length of the rolled wrap to smoothly and firmly package an article.

  • Publication number: 20060175460
Abstract: A hub includes a ring-shaped base having a sleeve portion axially extended from a rear side thereof, and a collar rotatably mounted on the sleeve portion. An L-shaped curved holding-down plate is provided at a lower inner side of the base, and slits are formed at joints of the holding-down plate and the base and the sleeve portion to provide the holding-down plate with a certain degree of elasticity. The hub is fitted in an open end of a rolled wrap with the rotatable collar tightly contacting with a radially inner side of the rolled wrap. Normally, the rolled wrap can be freely rotated and outward pulled for packaging an article, and when the holding-down plate is depressed to push the sleeve portion against the collar, the rolled wrap is held in place and a user may tensely stretch the outward pulled wrap to smoothly and firmly wrap the article.

  • Patent number: 6721997
Abstract: A handle for tape dispenser includes a plastic grip formed via a first time injection molding. The grip is provided at front and rear sides with shallow recesses that have smoothly curved profiles and predetermined depths. The grip is then positioned in a forming machine, so that two covers formed from a thermally plastic rubber material via a second time injection molding are set in the shallow recesses to tightly attach to the plastic grip, enabling comfortable and stable holding of the tape dispenser at the grip without unwanted sliding of the handle relative to a user's hand. Etched patterns, densely distributed dots or other grains may be formed on outer surfaces of the rubber covers to provide enhanced grip resistance.

  • Patent number: 6651718
Abstract: A hand-held tape dispenser with tape positioning structure mainly includes a tape reel from which a length of tape is dispensed and applied onto a surface, and a holding-down plate adapted to push a blade below it to cut the dispensed tape. The tape positioning structure includes two L-shaped plates fixed to two sides of the blade. Each of the two L-shaped plates has a hooked front end exposed from one side of a front plate located below the blade. When the blade is pushed forward to cut the dispensed tape, the hooked front ends of the L-shaped plates move forward at the same time to hook up a free end of the cut tape, and when the holding-down plate is released and the blade retracts, the cut tape is held by the retracted hooked front ends to the front plate for use next time.

  • Patent number: 6085498
Abstract: Disclosed is a packing apparatus combining tape-tightening and hoop-flattening devices into one unit. The hoop-flattening device has a connecting plate mounted on a handle of the tape-tightening device, so that the hoop-flattening device is pivotally connected to a top of the tape-tightening device. When the hoop-flattening device is turned to a vertical position relative to the tape-tightening device, its front head presses down a braking plate pivotally connected at a front ring portion to a rotary shaft of the tape-tightening device, causing a push plate mounted in the handle to press a front end against a toothed wheel mounted around the rotary shaft for the toothed wheel to tightly pull a tape for packing a parcel.
