    Abstract: The techniques described herein relate to methods, apparatus, and computer readable media configured to schedule individual orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) resources on an upstream channel to serve a data transmission request from a downstream device. A schedule for a set of available resources on the upstream channel to serve the data transmission request is generated, based on a dynamic bit loading profile, including generating data indicative of a first bit loading profile for a first set of resources from the set of available resources for a first burst, and data indicative of a second bit loading profile for a second set of resources from the set of available resources for a second burst. The schedule is transmitted to a downstream device, such that the downstream device is configured to encode the first burst using the first bit loading profile and the second burst using the second bit loading profile.

The method includes extracting, by a device, a visual feature of an image through a generative adversarial network model, and sequentially inputting M pieces of random noise into the generative adversarial network model. In response to each of the M pieces of random noise being inputted into the generative adversarial network model, the method includes performing a determinantal point process (DPP) on the visual feature of the image and the each random noise through the generative adversarial network model to obtain N tag subsets, and selecting a distinct tag subset from the N tag subsets through the generative adversarial network model. The method also includes outputting M distinct tag subsets through the generative adversarial network model after the M pieces of random noise are inputted into the generative adversarial network model.

The present application uses a Retinex image enhancement algorithm to enhance the input image, and by using the brightness gain control factor, when the image has low brightness, the first brightness gain value is compressed, and when the image has high brightness, the first brightness gain value is compressed slightly.

The method and apparatus can automatically calculate a mask of the region of interest, thereby avoiding the occupying of storage space required when storing ROI mask data.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for performing fiber node splits in DOCSIS cable systems by performing remote modulation and/or demodulation in the fiber node. In the downstream direction, a high-speed digital fiber optic interface can be used to send data from the CMTS to the fiber node, which then modulates the data onto separate downstream interfaces for subsequent distribution of the downstream data to CMs and/or STBs. In the upstream direction, different upstream interfaces from the CMs and/or STBs may be demodulated into digital streams which can then be combined into a single, time division multiplexed digital stream that is transmitted to the CMTS.     Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for improving the signal quality and performance in a cable operator's Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) plant by adding DOCSIS intelligence to components within the HFC plant. These intelligent DOCSIS devices, referred to here as DOCSIS Intelligent Nodes (DINs), intercept the upstream signal from cable modems and set top boxes, and perform various types of signal processing on the signals based upon knowledge of the signal characteristics obtained from CMTS control structures such as MAPs and Upstream Channel Descriptors (UCDs). The DIN functionality can be integrated into any type of device found in HFC networks such as RF amplifiers and fiber nodes.
