Abstract: This application discloses a communication method and a related apparatus. The communication method includes: A first core network element receives a first message from a second core network element, where the first message includes identification information of a first terminal and first identification information of a session, and the session indicated by the first identification information is used by a second terminal to transmit data for the first terminal; the first core network element obtains, based on the identification information of the first terminal, terminal context information corresponding to the session; and the first core network element sends a second message to the second core network element, where the second message includes the terminal context information corresponding to the session. This can directly control session permission of a terminal device, thereby improving accuracy of performing permission control on the terminal device.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a data transmission method and a data transmission apparatus. The method includes: obtaining, by an access management network element, information about a connection status of a terminal device in a first network; and processing, by the access management network element, a data transmission procedure of the terminal device in a second network based on the information about the connection status of the terminal device in the first network. When the terminal device needs to transmit data through both the two networks, the method in the embodiments of this application can avoid a problem that the terminal device overuses a resource in either of the networks.

Abstract: The disclosure provides service processing methods. One example method includes that a first network element sends a first message to a second network element, where the first message is used to request to obtain location information of a terminal device. The first network element obtains the location information from the second network element, then the first network element determines, based on the location information, whether the terminal device is located in a first non-restricted area. The first network element allows the terminal device to obtain a service if the terminal device is located in the first non-restricted area or the first network element disallows the terminal device to obtain a service if the terminal device is not located in the first non-restricted area.

Abstract: A method includes processing, by an information sharing network element executed by a processor, a monitoring request received from a content server to determine whether a handed-over-to network supports monitoring information included in the monitoring request. The monitoring information is associated with a terminal that is in one of a first network or a second network and is handed over to the other of the first network or the second network. The method also includes sending, by the information sharing network element, the monitoring information to a mobility management network element in a handed-over-to network based on a determination that the handed-over-to network supports the monitoring information. The monitoring information includes data associated with the terminal in a handed-over-from network.

Abstract: A user plane network element management method, apparatus, and system are provided so that a session management network element can correctly address a data plane instance. The session management network element determines information about a target data plane instance, where the information about the target data plane instance includes a routing indicator, the routing indicator is used to determine an address of the target data plane instance, and the target data plane instance is associated with a wireless integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node.

Abstract: This application provides a data transmission method and apparatus. The method includes: A core network element receives a first message sent by a first terminal device. The first message is used to request to establish a first PDU session. The core network element determines, based on group information corresponding to the first terminal device, that the first terminal device needs to perform local routing. The group information includes a group identifier ID and a group member list. The core network element obtains binding information. The binding information includes the group ID and session information of the first PDU session, and the session information includes one or more of a session ID, a TEID, and a QFIs of the first PDU session. The core network element sends the binding information to a first access network node. This can implement IAB based local routing, and shorten a transmission latency.

Abstract: Embodiments provide a bearer control method and system. The bearer control method includes: establishing a PDN connection when a UE accesses a network; and identifying and transmitting a service data flow of the UE on an air interface bearer between the UE and an access network access node according to obtained QoS information, and transmitting the service data flow by using a transmission tunnel between the access network access node and a core network gateway, or directly sending the service data flow to a packet data network by using the access network access node.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for determining a status of a terminal device, and a device are disclosed. The method includes: obtaining, by an access and mobility management network element, an access type used by the terminal device to access a network, where the access type includes at least one of 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) access and non-3GPP access; and determining, by the access and mobility management network element based on a status of the terminal device in the access type, the status of the terminal device, where the status of the terminal device includes at least one of a loss-of-connectivity state and an available-to-connectivity state. By using the method according to the embodiments of the present disclosure, accuracy of determining the status of the terminal device is improved.

Abstract: A method and device for managing an application program are provided. The method includes: obtaining, by a first edge computing platform, an application program component of the first edge computing platform and an application program component of a second edge computing platform, where the application program component of the first edge computing platform and the application program component of the second edge computing platform are application program components in a global application program; and sending the application program component of the second edge computing platform to the second edge computing platform. The second edge computing platform installs the application program component of the second edge computing platform, thereby implementing a deployment of application programs between all levels of edge computing platforms.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a network access method, used to restrict a network access range of a terminal device, to meet a requirement for restricting the terminal device within a specified range. The method in the embodiments of this application includes: receiving, by an access management network element, information about an area accessed by a terminal device; obtaining, by the access management network element, information about an area allowed to be accessed by the terminal device; and determining, by the access management network element based on the information about the area accessed by the terminal device and the information about the area allowed to be accessed by the terminal device, whether to allow access of the terminal device.

Abstract: In a method, after determining an operation mode of a terminal device based on third private network information of the terminal device, an access and mobility management network element sends third updated network configuration information to the terminal device, and after determining fourth policy information based on third policy information and the operation mode, a policy control network element sends fourth updated network configuration information to the terminal device, so that the terminal device accesses a private network based on updated network configuration information, and routes application traffic based on the updated network configuration information.

Abstract: Embodiments of this disclosure relate to the communications field, and provide a multicast method and apparatus, to transmit multicast data in a wireless network. An example method includes: receiving, by a multicast function network element, multicast data from a multicast source and that includes a multicast address; obtaining, by the multicast function network element based on a preset correspondence, terminal information or connection information that corresponds to the multicast address; and sending, by the multicast function network element, the multicast data to a terminal.

Abstract: A data transmission method, a terminal, and an access-network network element are disclosed. An interface is disposed on a policy client of UE and an operating system or an application layer of the UE. The interface is used to provide the operating system or the application layer with a policy related to the operating system or the application layer, and collect, from the operating system or the application layer, information required for a report. In this way, a dedicated transport channel is implemented by a bottom layer of the UE, reports and policies are transmitted on the dedicated transport channel, and during implementation, a protocol is not coupled with the application layer or the operating system, so that the system is simple to implement.

Abstract: This application provides a network configuration method and a communications apparatus. The method includes an AC sending configuration status information to a first access point AP, where the configuration status information is used to perform network configuration on the first AP, and the first AP performs network configuration based on the configuration status information sent by the AC, to implement communication between the first AP and a terminal device by using a 3GPP access mode. According to the network configuration method provided in this application, the AC may send the configuration status information to the AP. After performing network configuration, the AP may communicate with the terminal device through a 3GPP air interface.

The method includes: receiving, by a target access network device, at least one first packet of a terminal when the terminal is handed over from a source access network device to the target access network device; buffering the at least one first packet; and sending the at least one buffered first packet to the terminal when the target access network device receives a second packet and a third packet from the source access network device, or the target access network device receives one of the second packet and the third packet and does not receive the other one of the second packet and the third packet within a preset period, or the target access network device does not receive the second packet or the third packet within the preset period.
