  • Patent number: 5697386
Abstract: A hair band of flexible material includes a body, two hair retaining portions respectively attached to two ends of the body and being of a first curvature, and two extension plates respectively attached to the hair retaining portions and being of a second curvature. Each hair retaining portion includes an elongate receiving hole defined therein and extending along a longitudinal direction thereof. A slot is defined in a medial portion of each hair retaining portion, thereby defining an engaging section at a distal end of the hair retaining portion. Each engaging section has a passage defined therein which communicates an outside with the elongate receiving hole. Each extension plate has a width slightly smaller than that of the associated passage and also smaller than that of the associated elongate receiving hole and includes a plurality of spaced snapping protrusions formed on a side thereof, a distance between two adjacent snapping protrusions being slightly greater than a length of the engaging section.

  • Patent number: 5676166
Abstract: A hair clip includes a first clip piece and a second clip piece which are complimentarily formed. Each of the first and second clip pieces includes an inclined teeth-like clipping portion formed at a bottom thereof, each inclined clipping portion including a plurality of teeth which are so spaced and dimensioned as to allow smooth lateral opening and closing of the two clipping portions without jamming between the teeth of the clipping portions. The second clip piece has a first end pivotally connected to a first end of the first clip piece. The first clip piece and the second clip piece respectively have a clipping end formed on a second end thereof, the two clipping ends extending in different directions so as to be releasably engaged together.

  • Patent number: 5060898
Abstract: A surface mounting support, comprising a body, which optionally can be back-glued for fastening to a flat wall surface through an adhesive joint, having a dovetailed upper part for supporting an object through a dovetail joint and a unitary hook at the bottom for holding something. The object which is mounted on the surface mounting support has a dovetail groove on the back, which dovetail groove has two opposite, beveled side walls respectively projecting inwards. The dovetailed upper part of the surface mounting support is made in a shape and size to tightly fit the dovetail groove. A fissure is made on the top of the body for fastening a thread by which the body can be suspended in a vertical position for correct angle position checking during installation.
