  • Publication number: 20120213099
Abstract: The invention is directed to a method for dynamically adapting a modulation and coding scheme for a base station transmitting a multicast-and-broadcast service to a plurality of subscribers. The method comprises periodically performing a transmission adapting process. The transmission adapting process comprises steps of setting a feedback condition according to a coverage corresponding to the multicast-and-broadcast service and sending a negative-acknowledge-based feedback query including the feedback condition, a feedback channel and feedback information corresponding to the multicast-and-broadcast service to the subscribers. According to a feedback-receiving status, the base station adapts a modulation and coding scheme for transmitting the multicast-and-broadcast service.

  • Publication number: 20040145558
Abstract: A control device for dynamically controlling brightness of backlight and displayed color of a liquid crystal display of a computer system, such as a notebook computer, includes a dynamic display control device comprised of a micro-controller coupled to the computer and an environmental brightness detector coupled to the micro-controller for detecting brightness of surrounding light and generating an environmental brightness signal to the micro-controller. Based on the environmental brightness signal, the dynamic display control device generates a backlight brightness control signal to a backlight plate of the liquid crystal display to set the backlight brightness of the display. The device further includes a color matrix plate comprised of a number of light emitting diodes for selectively emitting lights of different colors.
