  • Patent number: 4673850
Abstract: An electrical control means useful in systems wherein a motor, such as a blower motor for an air handling unit, must be run at different speed levels and wherein low voltage power must simultaneously be supplied to another part of the system such as a condenser unit. The invention combines auto-transformer and transformer technologies into a single motor control unit. Wiring to the auto-transformer portion of the unit is arranged in such manner that it may be readily field changed to accommodate the various line voltage and frequency levels encountered worldwide. Thus, a signle standardized unit allows accurate motor speed control and simultaneous low voltage power supply without motor overheating or instability under various line voltage and frequency conditions encountered throughout the world.

  • Patent number: 4208886
Abstract: An air conditioning system in which a subcooling valve is located in the liquid line fitting upstream from the evaporator creating a pressure drop ahead of the capillary tube to effect liquid subcooling of refrigerant leaving the condenser, thereby resulting in higher cooling capacity and efficiency.

  • Patent number: 4155529
Abstract: A motor mount suitable for use, for example, in a motor driven fan assembly or the like in which the motor is secured to the fan housing. The mount includes clamps for supporting the opposite ends of the motor and is adjustable to accommodate motors having different lengths and also to fit different sized mounting bolt locations.
