  • Publication number: 20150194649
Abstract: A multi-cell battery system is provided including one or more independent, self-contained, modular battery sub-assemblies. A desired number of sub-assemblies may be assembled together in a desired arrangement to produce a custom battery system. Adjacent battery sub-assemblies may cooperate to receive a heat exchange medium for thermal management of the battery system.
    Type: Application
    Filed: March 20, 2015
    Publication date: July 9, 2015
Inventors: Kelly B. Ledbetter, Khosrow Nematollahi, Xinbao Gao, Wendell G. Ferguson, Douglas E. Lasley

  • Publication number: 20140272518
Abstract: A multi-cell battery system is disclosed including one or more battery sub-assemblies and one or more compliant heat exchange assemblies stacked together along a longitudinal axis. Each compliant heat exchange assembly may adapt to expansions and contractions of adjacent battery cells, and may define a heat exchange passageway through the battery system.
    Type: Application

    Publication date: September 18, 2014
    Applicant: EnerDel, Inc.
Inventors: Bruce James Silk, Derrick Scott Buck, Wendell G. Ferguson
  • Patent number: 6811285
Abstract: Disclosed is a means and method for attaching an automotive lighting lens to the housing of an automotive lighting assembly while a structural adhesive cures. An automotive lighting assembly has a recessed hollow portion dimensioned to enclose one or more light fixtures and an open end with a peripheral edge. Formed around the periphery of the housing is a sealing groove and a plurality of engaging openings adjacent the groove. The engaging openings have a plurality of protuberances projecting into the opening, the protuberances providing a reduced area of clearance within the engaging opening. A covering lens has an exterior edge and a flange dimensioned to extend into and mate with the sealing groove formed around the edge of the lens.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 24, 2002
Date of Patent: November 2, 2004
    Assignee: Guide Corporation
Inventors: Wendell G. Ferguson, Nova Filbrun, R. Andrew Kidd
