    Abstract: A method for determining ecological risk, particularly a method for the ecological risk assessment of a heavy metal in a river basin sediment based on a toxicity effect. The assessment method includes screening the main aquatic organisms in a river basin; sampling a sediment, and determining and detecting the heavy metal type; measuring the concentration of the heavy metal in the sediment; collecting the heavy metal release coefficient; collecting the heavy metal toxicity data and fitting the data; determining the heavy metal HCsi value according to a fitting equation; calculating the heavy metal toxicity response coefficient; calculating the ecological risk index of the heavy metal. This method can further include calculating the comprehensive ecological risk index of various types of heavy metals. The method can accurately reflect the ecological risk of a heavy metal on aquatic organisms in a river basin.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for preparation of formaldehyde-free plywood from scrap plastic alloys. Different scrap plastics are used to prepare plastic alloy film, which is then used as an adhesive material for the preparation of new plywood without formaldehyde emission. The formaldehyde-free plywood according to the present invention is prepared by the following steps: different scrap plastics are crushed, cleaned separately, and then corresponding fillers and additives are added to the above crushed material or their mixtures which mixed according to a certain blending ratio; plastic alloy film of certain size and thickness is prepared after the film blowing and rolling processes; after being assembled with wood veneers to form a lay-up mat, the mat is hot pressed and then cold pressed.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method of inputting ideographic characters into a handheld device, comprising steps of: predicting ideographic characters that correspond to symbols inputted by a user, for said user to select; predicting, based on a previous ideographic character that has been selected by said user, ideographic characters that most likely follow said previous ideographic character but cannot form a phrase with said previous ideographic character, for said user to select; and inputting ideographic characters that have been selected by said user into said handheld device. The present invention also provides an apparatus for inputting ideographic characters and a handheld device. According to the invention, more ideographic characters and punctuation marks are automatically predicted, which speeds up the process of inputting ideographic characters into handheld devices.
