    Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for creating notifications for resources shared or posted by connections of a member. One method includes an operation for accessing databases to collect member information that includes first-degree connections and information about each first-degree connection. Further, a list of first-degree connections is stored in a data store with information about each first-degree connection. The method further includes operations for detecting a resource associated with a first member, and for accessing the data store to obtain network connections (first- and second-degree connections) of the first member. For each network connection of the first member, the method determines if the resource is relevant for the network connection based on the retrieved member information. Further, the method includes generating a notification about the resource for one or more of the network connections based on a relevance of the resource to the network connection.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for finding job-posts shared or posted by connections of a job-seeking member. One method includes an operation for uploading social graph information, resource information, and member information to a data store. The method further includes receiving, by the data store, a request for resources associated with connections of a member, the request comprising a member identifier (ID) of the member. The data store determines first-degree connections of the member ID, and second-degree connections based on the first-degree connections. Further, the data store determines resources associated with any member from the first-degree connections or from the second-degree connections. The method further includes sorting the determined resources based on a relevance of each resource to a profile of the member ID, and causing presentation on a display of at least one of the sorted plurality of resources.

When an amount of spacing that the reflowable file indicates should be included in a given line exceeds a threshold that is set based at least in part on the available line display length, the layout may be adjusted to decrease the total spacing for the line without adjusting the display size of reflow objects within the line. The adjusted layout may include utilizing a scaled down amount of space relative to the spacing properties defined in the reflowable file, or applying a different alignment type than is indicated by the reflowable file.
