  • Patent number: 7793589
Abstract: Cloth feed control unit of a cleaning device for printing machine cylinders. Provided is a position sensor (30), which generates signals linearly in proportion to the radial variations in the distance of the peripheral surface of a cleaning roller (8, 10) from the position sensor (30). The signals can be used to calculate the length of a cleaning cloth that is on a cloth roller and/or to control the cloth feed. The cloth feed control is carried out preferably in combination with signals of an encoder (44), which detects the rotation-increments of a cloth roller.

Date of Patent: September 14, 2010
    Assignee: Baldwin Germany GmbH

  • Patent number: 5642915
Abstract: A roof hatch for the roof of a vehicle, such as a large capacity vehicle. The roof hatch includes a rectangular shaped outer hatch frame, a rectangular shaped inner hatch frame received at the outer hatch frame, a rectangular hatch cover of glass over the open area defined by the hatch frames, a sealing frame between the outer hatch frame and the hatch cover. The hatch cover is mounted on the outer hatch frame by one of adapter angles, or manually adjustable or electromotively adjustable adjusters, with the adjustable adjusters allowing the hatch cover to be opened with reference to the outer frame. The choice of the ways for attaching the hatch cover to the outer hatch frame enable the roof hatch of the invention to be supplied in modules with the user selecting a particular version. In addition, where the hatch cover is openable with reference to the outer frame, a lock can prevent such opening, handles on the lock can open the lock.

  • Patent number: 5152953
Abstract: Installation for the hot-metallizing of small items of steel or cast iron, comprising a continuous annealing furnace (1) with a furnace chamber (2) having regulatable temperature zones, a feeding device (3) for conveyor boxes (4) to accommodate the metal parts to be metallized, conveying devices (6, 9) for transporting the conveyor boxes (4) through the annealing furnace (1) and back to a discharge device (10), a vacuum inlet gate (5), and a vacuum outlet gate (7) which are under a protective gas atmosphere. A device (11) is arranged within the vacuum outlet gate (7) for emptying the conveyor boxes (4) into circulating dip baskets (13) of a metallizing plant (12) connected to the continuous annealing furnace (1), comprising a ceramic-lined, inductively heated metal bath (14). Lifting units lower the dip baskets (13) from a circulating position (13a) into a dipping and filling position (13c) into the metal bath (14) and lift the baskets (13 ) into a position (13e) above the metal bath (14).

  • Patent number: 4814210
Abstract: In a process for hot-galvanizing finned tube, with the finned tubes being of varying geometry, coating with galvanizing media by flooding with such media in a galvanizing pan, the finned tubes automatically pass successively by a transport means consisting of horizontally and vertically mounted supporting, guiding, and driving rollers, and synchronous carrying chain through treatment stages including degreasing, rinsing, pickling, heating, galvanizing, cooling, drying, chromating, and blasting stages for mechanical tumbling/stripping/brushing means, so as to ensure, with additional parameters, the broadest possible range of application in consideration of the economy and requirements relating to environmental protection.

  • Patent number: 4325693
Abstract: A device for heating open melting baths, especially galvanizing baths, enameling baths, lead coating baths, metal baths, and glass baths, and the like, in tubs, or vats or tanks, wherein an inert gas is circulated through components of the open baths which are closed toward the gas side which are in the form of shafts, and through a heater, whereby the gas is introduced into the fluid of the bath into vertical shafts, arranged on each longitudinal and/or end side of the tub, or vat or tank, the gas then bubbling through the fluid and being withdrawn through a withdrawal channel positioned above the shafts. There is provided at least one ceramic partition extending into the fluid, which partition forms at least part of the vertical shafts, and having at least one bore or a slot the upper end of which is in communication with the gas inlet conduit and the lower end of which opens into a pertaining vertical shaft or has provisions for directing the gas into the shaft.

  • Patent number: 4207065
Abstract: A device for heating open melting baths, especially galvanizing baths, enameling baths, lead coating baths, metal baths, and glass baths, and the like, in tubs, or vats or tanks, wherein an inert gas is circulated through components of the open bath which are closed toward the gas side, and through a heater, whereby the tub, or vat or tank includes at each longitudinal and/or end wall a plurality of conduit means, such as pipes, for introduction of the gas into the bath and whereby the gas is withdrawn above the conduit means through a draft flue at the edge of the tub, or vat or tank, which draft flue includes a vertical partition immersed in the bath. The device includes means for communicating a warm gas receiving means with the container for the melting bath which communicating means includes at least one ceramic block including passage means for communicating the warm gas receiving means with the container.
