Abstract: The present invention relates to a photographic reversal process for the production of positive photographic images by imagewise exposure of the photosensitive material containing at least one silver halide emulsion layer, black-and-white first development of the material, chemical fogging or diffuse second exposure and subsequent color development, characterized in that1. at least one N,N-dialkyl-p-phenylenediamine derivative is used as sole developer in the first development,2. the first development bath contains at least one compound which prevents the developer oxidation product formed during the first development from reacting with the color couplers present in the color photographic reversal material to form image dyes,3.

Abstract: A silver image produced by imagewise exposure, development and fixing of a photographic material containing at least one silver halide emulsion layer is stabilized by being subjected after fixing to treatment by a stabilizing bath containing a compound corresponding to general formula IR.sub.1 --(NHCO--R.sub.2 --R.sub.3).sub.m (I)in whichR.sub.1 represents a nitrogen-containing 5- or 6-membered heterocycle,R.sub.2 represents an optionally branched C.sub.1-8 alkylene radical,R.sub.3 represents Cl or Br andm=1 or 2.

Abstract: Excellent image silver stability is obtained without intermediate washing after fixing and without a special finishing bath by a process for stabilizing a silver image produced by exposure, development and fixing of a photographic material containing at least one silver halide emulsion layer, in which, immediately after fixing, the photographic material is subjected to treatment by a stabilizing bath containing a compound corresponding to general formula (I) ##STR1## in which X=Cl, BrR.sup.1 =H, C.sub.1-4 alkyl, C.sub.6-10 aryl,R.sup.2 =CHO, COOH, COONa, CH.sub.2 COOH, CH.sub.2 COONa, CONR.sub.2.sup.3, CONHR.sup.3,R.sup.3 =H, C.sub.1-2 alkyl,and a compound corresponding to formula II ##STR2## and/or to formula III ##STR3## in which R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 may be the same or different and represent H, --NH.sub.2, alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkylsulfonyl, sulfamoyl, acyl, --SH or a heterocyclic group.

Abstract: Photographically produced black and white images (silver images) are stabilized against subsequent destruction of the image silver, in particular due to discoloration, by treating the finished silver image with an aqueous after treatment bath containing aminotetrazole or a mercaptotetrahydrotriazine.

Abstract: Stabilizing baths used in rapid reproduction processes of photographic elements which comprise stabilizers, hardening additives and corrosion preventatives are improved in that certain heterocyclic compounds are incorporated in the baths. Excellent protection against corrosion is attained without a deleterious effect on the quality of the photographic material.

Abstract: Photographic images are produced by imagewise exposure, development and stabilization in which development is carried out in the presence of an .alpha.,.alpha.'-[2,5-dimercapto-1,2,4-triazolyl-4-imino] -p-xylene compound which improves the stability of the silver image in extreme climatic conditions.
