  • Patent number: 7323155
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of producing silane or hydrochlorosilanes by disproportionation of a higher chlorinated hydrochlorosilane or a mixture of said hydrochlorosilanes in the presence of a catalyst. Before the catalyst is used, it is a) washed with hyper-pure water in one or several steps; b) transferred in the water-moist state to the reactor in which the disproportionation is to proceed; c) treated in the reactor with boiling methanol or rinsed with anhydrous methanol; and d) the methanol is removed from the catalyst by evacuation and/or stripping with inert gas. The invention further relates to a method for treating disproportionation catalysts.

    Assignee: Solarworld Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Stephan Klein, Hans-Dieter Block, Hans-Joachim Leimkühler, Werner Dick, Dirk Müller, Johannes-Peter Schäfer
  • Patent number: 7311816
Abstract: A device for determining the residual liquid content of solids cakes in a centrifuge basket. The device includes two electrodes protruding through a wall of the basket and into the solids cake; a conductivity or capacitance measuring device (13) measuring the conductivity of the solids cake between the electrodes; and evaluation and control units contactlessly receiving data from the measuring device to affect the operation of the centrifuge.

Date of Patent: December 25, 2007
    Assignee: Bayer Technology Services GmbH
Inventors: Ruth Kessler, Karl Helmut Berg, Karl-Gustav Pattberg, Werner Dick
  • Patent number: 6843972
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for removing anhydrous acids and hydrohalogens from trichlorosilane by contacting the trichlorosilane with solid bases. The invention further relates to the use of the trichlorosilane so purified in the production of silane and/or super-pure silicon.

  • Publication number: 20050000869
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for determining the residual liquid content of solids cakes in centrifuges. The device at least consists of at least two sensors, particularly electrodes (12a, 12b), and of a measuring device (13), which is connected to the sensors and which is provided for measuring the residual moisture, whereby the sensors (12a, 12b) are situated at a distance from one another in the area of the centrifuge basket (1).
