  • Publication number: 20240079866
Abstract: An arc mitigation apparatus includes an arc mitigation device and a solar cell. The arc mitigation device is configured to be mounted to a low-, medium-, or high-voltage switchgear. The arc mitigation device is configured to stop or limit current flow within at least one part of the low-, medium-, or high-switchgear when activated. The solar-cell is configured to be located within a compartment of the low-, medium-, or high-voltage switchgear. The solar-cell is configured to cause the arc mitigation device to activate due to radiation from an electrical arc of the switchgear impinging upon the solar-cell.

  • Patent number: 11152173
Abstract: A method for operating a drive of a vacuum interrupter in opening mode includes: dividing an opening movement of at least one movable contact into serial phases, an opening phase, and an isolating phase, driven in at least two different velocities. In the opening phase a velocity of the opening movement is lower than in the isolating phase.

  • Patent number: 8768525
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a medium-voltage or high-voltage switchgear comprising at least one switching device. The aim is to enable the associated switchgear to be functionally integrated with the greatest possible technical functional comfort. To this end, the switching device or the switching devices is/are respectively provided with a data and/or control interface, with the aid of which the same is/are linked to an electronic master terminal via a data and/or control line such that the switching devices can be triggered by the electronic master terminal and the control thereof can be integrated in a process, particularly an industrial process.

  • Patent number: 4417552
Abstract: An internal combustion engine includes an engine block, an oil pan, a sound insulating capsule and a sealing gasket connecting the oil pan to an underside of the engine block. The sealing gasket has folds for permitting a relative displacement between the engine block and the oil pan during operation of the engine. The sealing gasket is supported on a lower portion of the capsule as a component thereof, while the capsule is supported externally of the engine. A closure plate is sealingly secured to the engine block for covering an underside of the engine block. The plate has an oil return opening whose dimensions are small relative to length and width dimensions of the closure plate and the oil pan. The closure plate and the oil pan carry nipples which are in alignment with one another and to which the sealing gasket is secured.
