  • Patent number: 5503537
Abstract: The present invention relates to a gas compressor which prevents noise being produced in the suction conduit during idling. In conventional systems, the noise results from the collision of arriving and returning gas by means of a check valve provided between the suction chamber and the suction conduit. The present invention avoids this noise by providing an additional chamber which is connected via an admixture valve to the compression chamber (20) during the idling operation. This invention is especially applicable to pneumatic systems in automotive technology.

  • Patent number: 5101857
Abstract: A valve vane is provided, where the valve vane is movable along the surface of a casing part and is driven by a dog follower, guided in a slot of the casing part, wherein the slot is furnished at least at one end, and wherein a flat slider is required for a sealing of the casing part. Such a flat slider requires by itself a substantial structure. The invention valve vane (6) is structured such that it covers the slot (12) in each phase of its motion. The invention structure is particularly suitable for being employed in a inlety valve system of a compressor.

  • Patent number: 4932631
Abstract: This invention provides an apparatus for transmitting a driving force between two components. The apparatus utilizes a cover rotatably mounted in a housing such that, as a result of engagement between the cover and a first component, a rotation of the cover corresponds to a displacement of such first component. The first component drives a second component by means of an actuator.

  • Patent number: 4875503
Abstract: A stop apparatus for a plate valve of a fluid compressor is provided. The stop apparatus is equipped with a wear-resistant insert so that the wear on some compressor components can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 4553907
Abstract: A pressure gas generating system including the compressor which is switched to a no-load condition when a predetermined pressure level is reached. The system employs either a regulator or a governor to allow the free exchange of gas between the suction chamber and the compression chamber to prevent the development of high temperatures. In the pressure regulator control system, the opening of the discharge valve is enlarged and is vented into the atmosphere by the pressure regulator so that the compressor continues to operate with reduced drive power and generates less heat during the no-load condition. In the pressure control system, the pressure discharge valve as well as the suction valve are opened during the no-load condition.

  • Patent number: 4522568
Abstract: A valve plate, inserted between the cylinder body and head parts of a compressor, holds the usual compression valve, which opens to connect the compression and pressure chambers during the compression stroke of the piston, and the suction valve which opens to connect the suction and compression chambers during the piston intake stroke. A separate plate-type idle valve also within the plate is positioned to open into a recess of the compression chamber so that there is no interference with the movement of the piston. The idle valve is controlled by an idle piston actuated by pressurized air admitted through a pressure regulator which opens when the reservoir pressure exceeds a predetermined level. Opening the idle valve shifts the compressor operation from compression to idle condition by permitting unhindered passage of air between suction and compression chambers.

  • Patent number: 4249564
Abstract: A valve mount for a compressor pressure valve with a valve seat disposed in a bore formed in a cylinder head, wherein the valve mount is provided with a cooling chamber surrounding the external surfaces of a pressure chamber for transferring and dissipating heat from the valve parts including the valve seat.

  • Patent number: 4008017
Abstract: Seals for providing sealing contact between the rotary piston and the apexes of the casing of a rotary type combustion engine, compressor, or pump for sealing the several pressure chambers, one from the other or others, during operation. The seals are disposed in radially formed slots at each apex of the housing and are so constructed to permit pressure in the chamber being pressured to be communicated to the rear side of the seal, or the side opposite that which makes sealing contact with the rotary piston, so that such pressure acting on the rear side may assist the spring normally acting against the same side in forcing the seal against the rotary piston with greater pressure and thereby provide a better sealing effect.
