  • Patent number: 9538587
Abstract: A method and a device for closed-loop control of an electrode gap in a vacuum arc furnace subjects an electrode gap of a melting electrode from the surface of a melt material to closed-loop control as a function of a droplet short-circuit rate. For this purpose, a histogram of detected droplet short-circuits is created on the basis of at least one droplet short-circuit criterion. The histogram is subdivided into sub-areas, a characteristic sub-area of the histogram is selected for closed-loop control purposes. The electrode gap is subjected to closed-loop control on the basis of the droplet short-circuits which can be associated with the selected sub-area.

  • Patent number: 9005070
Abstract: A clutch arrangement has a rotary element which is mounted on a housing so as to be rotatable about a longitudinal axis and which defines a cavity. A clutch has a first clutch element and a second clutch element which can be coupled thereto, which clutch is arranged in the cavity. The first clutch element or the second clutch element is coupled to the rotary element. A fluidic actuator arrangement has a first and a second actuator element which can move relative to one another in order to activate the clutch. • Patent number: 8215440
Abstract: A drive train of a vehicle is disclosed which comprises a permanently driven primary axle and a secondary axle connectable to the primary axle via a switch-on device with a switch-on mechanism, whereby the secondary drive train output via side shaft couplings is transferred to the drive wheels of the secondary axle. Because the switch-on mechanism and/or the side shaft couplings have frictionally engaged couplings, it can be that when the secondary axle is uncoupled, the shutdown section of the secondary drive train located between the switch-on device and the side shaft couplings is uncoupled both from the primary axle and from the secondary drive wheels, such that there is no more power loss in this shutdown section, whereby connecting the secondary drive train during travel is possible all the same and losses in comfort and practicability do not have to be tolerated.

  • Patent number: 7617919
Abstract: A drivetrain for a motor vehicle has a friction clutch for transmitting drive torque for the motor vehicle and has an actuator arrangement for actuating the friction clutch. The actuator arrangement has a first actuator which is designed to close the friction clutch quickly with little force expenditure in order to thus quickly close up the play which is present in the open state of the friction clutch. The actuator arrangement has a second actuator which is designed such that, with a small stroke, it applies a large force for actuating the friction clutch in order to keep the friction clutch closed with little energy expenditure.

  • Publication number: 20090277711
Abstract: The invention relates to a drive train of a vehicle, comprising a permanently driven primary axle and a secondary axle connectable to the primary axle via a switch-on device with a switch-on mechanism, whereby the secondary drive train output via side shaft couplings is transferred to the drive wheels of the secondary axle. A disadvantage to these drive trains is that also when the secondary axles are not connected their components are dragged along by the vehicle drive or by the drive wheels rolling away on the roadway, causing power losses. Complete shutdown of the secondary drive train to date is executed only by manually switchable wheel hub couplings which are however a disadvantage with respect to ease of use and practicability.

  • Patent number: 7133738
Abstract: The invention relates to a system and method for programming an automation system. To avoid conversion errors and to guarantee data during the programming of an automated system, a graphic description by means of pulse timing diagrams is used to generate a program of the automation system, in particular the program of a memory programmable control. Modifications of the pulse timing diagrams thus lead directly to modifications of the program of the memory programmable control, without the need for a renewed conversion that potentially contains errors.

  • Patent number: 6983267
Abstract: A system (1, 2) and an associated method for a dynamic management of information data. The information data are in the form of information sources I of a virtual device K, which includes a plurality of virtual subcomponents T1 . . . Tn. The virtual device K represents a real device (20), for instance an industrial facility. A comprehensive overview of the entire system as well as specific views of the subcomponents of the device are achieved in that the virtual subcomponents are embedded as programs and/or data in a networking frame structure. Therein, the virtual subcomponents correspond to technological structures of the real device (20). The system has a data processing device (2) to manage the information data I associated with the virtual device K and to control access to the information data I. Local and/or global addresses are assigned to the virtual device K and its virtual subcomponents T1 . . . Tn.

In this case, the device comprises a plurality of bearing bridges extending across the cylinder block between the cylinders in a substantially straight line that is substantially perpendicular to the cylinder axis. In this case, each of the plurality of bearing bridges have a plurality of bearing passages. There are at least two setting shafts disposed in an upper region of the cylinder block in these bearing passages, and arranged in an alternating manner over a length of the crankcase. There are also a plurality of eccentrics which are coupled to the at least two setting shafts and supported on both sides of each of the cylinders. There are also a plurality of hollow support bars disposed in the cylinder block below the receiving bores.

  • Publication number: 20050060135
Abstract: A technical system is described by several abstract or concrete models which have a mutual relationship. Information/attributes can be associated with model elements and “inherited” through these relationships. While the approach can basically be applied to different types and models of machines, it is described more particularly for hierarchical component models. Model elements in these models are referred to as components, assemblies, etc.
