  • Publication number: 20180060769
Abstract: A computer implemented product development method characterized in an algorithmic formulation of an optimization problem within a multidimensional solution space and a following software-technical optimization which is in the sense of a control loop permanently adjusting the running development process in direction of a calculated optimum is provided. Therefore a three-dimensional solution space with a purpose dimension, an architecture dimension and a strategy dimension have to be established, market needs strategic imperatives, architecture and for each dimension quality criteria have to be stored and after that the three dimensions have to be balanced according to its fulfillment of the quality criteria after each phase of the development. The advantage is a higher efficiency in development due to a more holistic approach which is better reflecting the interdependencies within a real production development process.

  • Patent number: 8764526
Abstract: An air duct system for vehicles, in particular for passenger rail vehicles, has at least one roof venting duct, which has a component venting duct for warm air and a component venting duct for cold-air. A separating means which is arranged inside the roof venting duct is designed so it can be deformed or is held in a movable fashion in such a way that the cross section of each of the two component venting ducts can be enlarged by making the respective other component venting duct smaller. These changes in cross section are brought about solely by the air pressure and volume flow conditions without external energy.

  • Patent number: 8514228
Abstract: In a visual display of power transmission quality, at least three display regions are displayed. The display regions are a time-related, a location-related and a control-related display region. The time-related display region enables a selection of the time interval on the part of the user that is to be examined for a violation of one or more predetermined power quality rules.

  • Patent number: 7343207
Abstract: A method is provided for operating an electronic device with control software controlled by means of an operating surface. An interface is disposed between the operating surface and the control software to decouple the operating surface from the control software and transfer any action initiable via the operating surface to the control software.

  • Patent number: 7275016
Abstract: In a complex plant most of the problems or errors will occur only once. Therefore corrective maintenance and trouble-shooting staff can not go back or hark back to ready-made solutions for these problems or errors. The present invention provides a method and a computerized system which enables the corrective maintenance and trouble-shooting staff having access to experiences made on third party plants regarding these problems or errors.

  • Publication number: 20050071836
Abstract: Electronically modifiable components of an automation device are updated to optimize execution of a control program in the automation device. Based on information about the control program and about interdependencies between each electronically modifiable component and the hardware of the automation device as well as among the electronically modifiable components, an update manager determines the combination of electronically modifiable components with which the control program can be executed in an optimal manner.
