  • Publication number: 20150056860
Abstract: An electrical connecting structure having an electrical connector having an insulating connector housing that can be electroconductively connected to an electrical mating connector, which is permanently connected to an electrical unit, to permit the transmission of high currents. The connecting structure has a first and a second electrical line; these being adapted for transmitting a first phase angle and a second current at a first phase angle and at a second phase angle that is temporally offset therefrom. The first and second line have a corresponding first and second shield for protecting against electromagnetic interference. The first and second shield are detachably and electroconductively connectable to a corresponding third and fourth shield configured in the mating connector. The first and the second shield differ from one another and are electroconductively interconnected within the electrical connecting structure.

  • Publication number: 20140041200
Abstract: A method and a device for producing a crimp are described. A crimp blank is plastically deformed by a forming tool. In particular when the forming tool is retracted, the force which the forming tool exerts on the crimp blank as well as the distance x by which the forming tool is displaced are measured. A change in the distance x between a position at maximum force Fmax and a position that for the first time is free from forces provides an indication of an elastic recovery, i.e., a spring-back, of the crimp blank. This indication represents a measure of the quality of the produced crimp.

  • Publication number: 20100206600
Abstract: An electrical line is to be insulated from fluid or corrosive media penetrating along the electrical line in an advantageous and cost-effective manner from the standpoint of production engineering. The electrical line having an electrically conductive inner conductor and an insulating jacket surrounding it includes a sealing element, which is disposed on the insulating jacket in a spring-back manner via a first subsection, and which covers the inner conductor across a partial length via a second subsection. The sealing element contains a soluble, in particular fluid sealant, which is pressed into the individual conductors of the inner conductor implemented as stranded wire, and cures in a sealing manner. The electrical line is used, for example, in the automotive industry for a cable harness plug.

  • Patent number: 6916202
Abstract: A multipole electrical plug connection remains functionally stable even under vibrational stresses, in particular during the operation of an internal combustion engine. The plug connection is formed by coupling a first connector to a second connector. Attached to a contact carrier as part of a housing of the first connector are a first pressing element and a second pressing element, via which the two connectors are radially and axially biased when both connectors are joined. As a result, relative movements between the contacted contact elements and contact parts situated in the fixed connectors are prevented. The plug connection is preferably intended for use in automobile manufacturing.

  • Patent number: 6699051
Abstract: Traditional embodiments of cable harness connectors also have, in addition to a locking slide, a locking claw, arranged in a U shape over a connector housing of a cable harness connector, and the two locking elements assume both open and closed positions. To permit more advantageous manufacture of such cable harness connectors, the function of the locking claw is integrated into a cover of the cable harness connector, which is placed on the connector housing, so that the cover and the other locking unit are combined, this function having previously been implemented by the locking claw. Therefore, the cover and the second locking mechanism are designed as a one-piece part.

  • Patent number: 5618194
Abstract: An electrical plug device having two plug connector parts is designed in such a way that the two plug connector parts can be plugged together or separated by means of a slide, which can be displaced transversely with respect to the insertion direction, even under confined space conditions. To this end, guide openings are provided on one of the two plug connector parts, which guide openings extend through the plug connector part and serve the purpose of being able to assemble the U-shaped slide on both sides. Control elements or control means are fitted to the other of the two plug connector parts symmetrically with respect to its longitudinal extent, with the result that the engagement of assignable means or control elements which are fitted to the slide takes place with the same effect independently of the assembly direction of the slide. The plug device is preferably used in motor vehicles with confined installation conditions.

  • Patent number: 5556294
Abstract: A plug connection with a plug (11) and an associated counterpart plug or socket (12) is intended to be formed such that shaping strains acting upon it have no or only slight disturbing influence on the contacts (25, 28) of the plug connection. To that end, the plug (11) has a packing element (19), supported on its outside in a contact carrier (14), in the form of an uninterrupted, encompassing radial rubber elastic element which, in addition to a framelike basic body (37), engages socket (12), also contains pinlike retaining segments (41), which are oriented inward, press resiliently against the contact elements (25) of the plug (11) and stabilize them in their position. This plug connection is preferably used in motor vehicles, in whose operation strong shaking strains must be expected, e.g. having Diesel engines.
