    Abstract: The invention is directed to systems, methods and computer program products for switching between a dry mode and a wet mode for a mobile device. An exemplary method comprises: determining a first capacitance on a mobile device touchscreen using a sensor associated with the touchscreen, wherein the first capacitance is determined when the touchscreen is submerged under a body of water; comparing the first capacitance to a threshold capacitance; determining whether the first capacitance is greater than or equal to the threshold capacitance; and in response to determining the first capacitance is greater than or equal to the threshold capacitance, switching the touchscreen from a dry mode to a wet mode, wherein in the wet mode, a location associated with a user's touch is determined based on a capacitance at a point on the touchscreen associated with the user's touch being less than the first capacitance.

    Abstract: A method for storing and updating digital certificates in a flash memory, a flash memory, and an electronic apparatus exploiting the method are disclosed. The method is applicable for a flash memory having predefined erase-write blocks and write-read blocks, for enhancing the tampering proof characteristics of the flash memory. The certificates may be used to authenticate a computer program and may be verified by a verification program associated with the computer program. The method may include defining a plurality of memory slots within at least one erased erase-write block wherein each memory slot have a commencing address comprising a binary “0”- or a binary “1” bit pattern, writing a first and second digital certificate in a first and second one of the memory slots, defining a certificate slot address pointer, and updating the certificate slot address pointer by replacing said “0”- or “1”-bit pattern of the pointer with a “1”- or a “0” bit pattern, respectively.

    Abstract: A method for utilizing a secure memory in an electronic device for launching/running an application may include copying at least a portion of the application into the secure memory of the electronic device, and permanently storing the at least one portion of the application in the secure memory. The permanent storage of the at least one portion of the application in the secure memory obviates the need re-copy the application to the secure memory if/when the application is subsequently executed by the electronic device.
