  • Patent number: 7959102
Abstract: The machine control 30 drives the winder 1 according to the invention in such a manner that for the winding of a reel 6, the pair of supporting arms 17 is continuously moved away from the contact roller 4 in accordance with the calculated desired radius of the reel 6 which is building up. The contact roller is exposed to the contact pressure through the cylinder arrangement 24 and remains in its desired position without any perturbations (out-of-round reel, incorrectly calculated desired radius) but in the event of perturbations, can avoid the perturbation due to its floating mounting.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 9, 2008
Date of Patent: June 14, 2011
    Assignee: Swiss Winding Performance AG
    Inventor: Werner Lanz
  • Patent number: 7954319
Abstract: A turbine flow cross-section of a turbocharger of an internal combustion engine, is set such that a lower limit (TSQ_dyn_min) of a range of settable values of the turbine flow cross-section is determined as a function of an operating parameter of the internal combustion engine in non-stationary operating states. A speed of the internal combustion engine can be used as the operating parameter.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 2, 2007
Date of Patent: June 7, 2011
Assignee: Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventors: Hans-Werner Lanz, Bjoern Mueller

  • Patent number: 5971033
Abstract: In a profiled tube, corrugated hose or the like elongate portion of flexible material with mutually parallel peripheral grooves (20) and ridge rings (12) laterally delimiting same the peripheral grooves (20) are radially prolonged in the groove center (N) extending transversely to the longitudinal axis (A) of the elongate portion (10), by at least one recess (20.sub.a), forming a shoulder step (18), wherein the width (f) of a land ring (16) delimiting the recess towards the longitudinal axis is less than the groove width (i). The depth (q) of the groove recess (20.sub.a) is to approximately correspond to half the groove width (i). In addition there can be provided at least two groove recesses (20.sub.a) which are disposed on a common radial axis (M) and which each form a respective shoulder step (18).

  • Patent number: 4368904
Abstract: The specification describes a connector fitting for flexible corrugated tubing having parallel, coaxial corrugations; the connector comprising a bushing with a housing for accommodating in use the end of a length of corrugated tubing which housing is provided with at least one opening for receiving a locking element which is generally C-shaped in form and has resilient legs, the inner surface of the locking element is provided with a plurality of ribs the thickness of which corresponds approximately to the spacing of adjacent corrugations of the tubing and the opening in the housing is bounded by a pair of bridge pieces separation of which is substantially the same as the distance between the outermost surfaces of the legs of the locking element. A seal may be provided which in use lies between the outer surface of the corrugated tubing and the inner surface of the housing, the seal having a toroidal end part lying between the end of the corrugated tubing and a stop formed in the housing.
