  • Patent number: 5108718
Abstract: Toxic wastes are destroyed by contact thereof with a steam plasma jet and immediately thereafter with an oxidizing medium followed by washing of the resultant gaseous product with an alkaline medium. An apparatus for carrying out this method is in the form of a tubular assembly adapted to be received on a plasmatron in axial alignment therewith.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 14, 1989
Date of Patent: April 28, 1992
    Assignee: VEB Chemieanlagenbaukombinat Leipzig/Grimma
Inventors: Hans-Ulrich Dummersdorf, Robert Kunze, Gert Wohllebe, Dietrich Hebecker, Werner Noack, Heinz Dummersdorf, Wolfgang Jahn, Hartmut Merten
  • Patent number: 5055167
Abstract: Polymer waste products are converted into a subdivided form and into a conveyable consistency and supplied to hydrogen plasma jet, preferably with an average mass temperature of at least 1,000.degree. C. and a pressure of 0.05 to 0.5 MPa, so that a mixing of the polymer suspension or granulate with the hydrogen plasma occurs. In this hydrogen plasma, the polymer waste products are decomposed completely and react to form highly endothermic, valuable products, such as acetylene, ethylene, hydrogen, CO, HCN or HCl.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: PP9573
Abstract: A new and distinct variety of ground cover rose plant is provided which forms continuously throughout the season attractive long-lasting pure white blossoms. The new variety exhibits a compact and spreading growth habit that renders it suitable for growing as an ornamental ground cover in the landscape. The foliage is dark green and glossy and contrasts well with the pure white blossoms. Reproductive organs and pollen provide a generally yellow coloration at the center of each fully open blossom. The pure white blossom coloration is well retained upon the aging of the blossoms, and petals drop off cleanly as the blossoms mature. The new variety also propagates well from cuttings, by the budding of an eye, and by grafting, and exhibits an excellent resistance to blackspot, mildew, and rust.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: PP10084
Abstract: A new and distinct variety of Floribunda rose plant is provided which forms continuously throughout the season attractive long-lasting light to medium red blossoms. The blossoms open on a reliable basis and well retain their attractiveness upon aging. The new variety exhibits a low, upright, and dense growth habit that renders it well suited for growing as attractive ornamentation in the landscape. The foliage is dark green and glossy and contrasts well with the light to medium red blossoms. The new variety propagates well from cuttings, by the budding of an eye, and by grafting. Excellent resistance to blackspot, mildew, and rust are exhibited.

  • Patent number: PP10239
Abstract: A new and distinct variety of ground cover rose plant is provided which forms continuously throughout the season attractive long-lasting pure light pink blossoms. The blossoms tend to open on a reliable basis and to retain their attractiveness upon aging. The new variety exhibits a compact, spreading and overhanging (i.e., long arching) growth habit that renders it suitable for growing as an ornamental ground cover in the landscape. The foliage is glossy and contrasts well with the pure light pink blossoms. The pure light blossom coloration is well retained upon the aging of the blossoms, and petals drop off cleanly as the blossoms mature. The new variety propagates well from cuttings, by the budding of an eye, and by grafting. Excellent resistance to blackspot, mildew, and rust are exhibited.
