  • Patent number: 6134969
Abstract: An automatically compensatable device for measuring a pressure difference includes a housing (4) with pressure feed passages (20; 23), a sensor element (6) with electrical connections (13) which is arranged in the housing (4), a valve (7) which is integrated in the housing (4) and which has a closure portion (32) by which a pressure difference across the sensor element (6) can be short-circuited and actuator means (34, 31) arranged in the housing (4) for triggering a movement of the closure portion (32). The automatically compensatable device permits quiet operation.

  • Patent number: 6059086
Abstract: A drive device for a control member which is driven by a motor in two directions has a freewheel clutch which is in the form of a wrap spring wound around a shaft. An end region of the wrap spring has at least one winding whose diameter is larger than the diameter of the shaft which is disposed in an end region of the wrap spring, so that the wrap spring does not bear against the shaft in the end region. The wrap spring effectively suppresses noise generation which would occur upon loading or blocking of the drive device, in particular in a transmission, due to oscillation of the motor.

  • Patent number: 5727653
Abstract: A drive device for controlling the position of an actuator includes an electric motor for actuating the drive device. The motor is coupled to a gear mechanism and adapted to control the position of the actuator by selective operation thereof. A gear mechanism operatively coupled to the motor and to the actuator has a restoring spring and an auxiliary spring, each of which is tightenable to store energy therein by operation of the motor upon startup. In the event of a power loss to the motor, the gear mechanism operates to use the stored energy of the restoring spring to move the actuator to a preselected position. The stored energy of the auxiliary spring is used to counteract against moment of the motor at rest.

  • Patent number: 5544970
Abstract: An apparatus for the attachment of an axle (10) to a hub (3) capable of rotating around a rotational axis (2) is provided with a first thread (5) and with a screw (7) with a second thread (8) and a third thread (9), so that the second thread (8) has half the pitch of the third thread (9) and is screwed into the first thread (5). A clamping device of the apparatus consists of a first part (11) and a second part (12) which is screwed via a fourth thread (13) into the third thread (9). By rotating the screw (7) the first part (11) with the screw (7) can be moved in a first direction, so that the second part (12) is at the same time moving at twice the speed in the opposite direction to the first direction. The axle (10) can be clampingly held between the first part (11) and the second part (12) in a wide diameter range so as to be centered relative to the rotational axis (2) by turning the screw (7).

  • Patent number: 4977310
Abstract: A programmable regulating device, preferably for the regulation of a heating, ventilation and/or air conditioning installation, is disclosed. The inventive device illustratively comprises a microprocessor, a program and data memory and a service panel which includes a label, selection keys, edit key and display. The contents of the label are variable. A plurality of service cards are assigned to the service panel. Each service card is provided with a number of display lines equal to the number of lines in the label and supports a machine-readable encoding field comprising one or more markings. The service panel is provided with a reading unit by means of which all existing markings can be read. The encoding field of each service card is differentiated by the number and/or varying arrangement of markings, so that the microprocessor is informed through the reading unit and the encoding field as to which service card has been assigned to the reading unit.
