  • Patent number: 7200983
Abstract: A supporting disc for a supporting disc bearing of open-end spinning rotors has a disc-like base body, on whose outer circumference a tire-like covering is applied. On a front side of the supporting disc facing the operator's side of the spinning aggregate, a cylinder-shaped permanent magnet for non-contact speed monitoring is arranged at a distance from the axis of the supporting disc. For the purpose of the correction of mass imbalances, the permanent magnet is inserted into a through bore hole, which is filled out by the permanent magnet only up to a gradation of diameters which serves as a stopping surface. As the permanent magnet is arranged in the transition area between the base body and the tire-like covering, the part of the through bore hole not filled out by the permanent magnet can be filled out by the covering.

  • Patent number: 6032452
Abstract: A step bearing is provided for the end of the shaft of an open-end spinning rotor. The step bearing has a cartridge which is clamped fixedly by a cylindrical outer surface in a corresponding hollow cylindrical receiver surface of a supporting part. The cartridge includes a freely rotatable supporting ball for supporting the shaft; a thrust bearing screwed fixedly onto the cartridge for supporting the supporting ball; and a take-up receptacle for lubricating grease. The cartridge, including the supporting ball and the thrust bearing, can be exchanged for another cartridge with fresh lubricating grease.

  • Patent number: 5927869
Abstract: A step bearing for a shaft of a spinning rotor includes a freely rotatable supporting ball and a thrust bearing, against which the supporting ball is disposed. The supporting ball, the thrust bearing and a front-sided supporting surface of the shaft are placed in a housing for lubricating grease. The housing is arranged in a cartridge, which, together with the supporting ball, can be disassembled. It is hereby possible to renew the supply of lubricating grease by simply exchanging the cartridge.

  • Patent number: 5916120
Abstract: A supporting disk for a supporting disk bearing of open-end spinning rotors comprises a disk-like metal base body and a thin running ring made of plastic. The outer diameter of the running ring measures at least 75 mm. The width of the running ring amounts to at most a tenth of its outer diameter. With these dimensions, the supporting disk can withstand the heat load at rotor speeds of over 130,000 rpm, so that often so-called cooling grooves and anchoring grooves can be omitted.

  • Patent number: 5638671
Abstract: A yarn withdrawal navel for an open-end spinning apparatus is provided with a ferromagnetic locating surface. This is used for the purpose of coupling to a mounting, which has at least one permanent magnet. The yarn withdrawal navel and the mounting have abutment surfaces which are configured to vary the magnetic mounting effect on the navel as a function of the relative rotation position of the navel and the mounting.

  • Patent number: 5291728
Abstract: In the case of a spinning machine for the spinning of slivers fed in cans into yarns, drivable transport belts are provided which transport the slivers between the cans and the spinning stations. Stationary lateral guides are assigned to the transport belts immediately before they run onto deflecting rollers, the distance between these stationary lateral guides being maximally as large as the width of the deflecting rollers. At the point of the lateral guides, a rear support is provided which is in a slight contact with the transport belt.

  • Patent number: 5105613
Abstract: In the case of an arrangement for the intermediate storage of a double yarn formed of two yarn components, a suction chamber is provided which has an air permeable depositing surface for the double yarn. In addition, an air nozzle is provided at the inlet side of the suction chamber which receives the double yarn and delivers it to the suction chamber.

  • Patent number: 4713932
Abstract: In the case of a supporting disk for a supporting disk bearing for a shaft of an open-end spinning rotor having a disk-shaped basic body made of metal that, on its circumference, is equipped with a ring made of plastic, the outer surface of which forms a smooth, uninterrupted essentially cylindrical running surface, it is provided that the inner surface of the ring has a profiling by means of which the thickness of the ring is reduced in the central area as compared to the edge areas.

  • Patent number: 4676673
Abstract: A bearing disk construction is disclosed for an open end spinning rotor at a spinning unit of the type having a rotor mounted on a rotor shaft, a twin disk bearing arrangement for rotatably supporting the rotor shaft and a tangential belt drivingly engaging the rotor shaft of the radial side thereof opposite the twin disk arrangement. The bearing disks are formed with a metallic base body and a plastic fitting around the circumference thereof which directly supportingly engages the rotor shaft. To minimize heating of the system during high speed operation, the plastic fittings are provided with a circumferential ring groove which is geometrically configured to optimize bearing support and heat dissipation. The plastic fitting is anchored in a groove at the circumference of the base body by moulding the plastic at the base body.

  • Patent number: 4667464
Abstract: A bearing and driving assembly is disclosed for an open end spinning rotor at a spinning unit of the type having a rotor mounted on a rotor shaft, a twin disk bearing arrangement for rotatably supporting the rotor shaft and a tangential belt drivingly engaging the rotor shaft of the radial side thereof opposite the twin dusk arrangement. To minimize failures of such a system caused by resonant system vibrations and to facilitate high spinning speeds with minimal manufacturing expenses, the assembly is designed so that the system critical velocity where excessive resonant vibrations may occur is substantially lower than spinning operational speeds.
