  • Patent number: 10860987
Abstract: A system for providing a personalized calendar comprises a server that hosts a database storing digital product event data, which associates a plurality of digital products with respective digital products event dates. The server repeatedly updates the digital product event data in the database, provides a user interface for a user, with the user interface being displayable on a remote user device of the user and includes a calendar widget personalized for the user based on a user account. The server further converts at least one portion of the digital product event data to display it through the calendar widget. The server can also receive user input indicating a date and identify a digital product associated with that date. In response to the input, the server modifies the user interface to display, in addition to the calendar widget, a digital product widget associated with the identified digital product.

  • Publication number: 20140195924
Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with customizing a timeline for displaying account information about an entity are described. In one embodiment, a method includes configuring a timeline of tax account information by consolidating a history of the tax account information in a display of the timeline. Elements in the history are selected based on parameters that have been customized for a revenue authority. The elements include display properties of the timeline and tax account information. The example method may also include dynamically rendering the timeline as one of multiple display zones on a display screen based, at least in part, on the parameters. Rendering the display includes determining how to display each of the elements on the timeline. The processor configures the timeline and dynamically renders the timeline in response to receiving a request to display the timeline about an entity.

  • Publication number: 20140195392
Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with using a business object lifecycle for management of business records are described. In one embodiment, a method includes defining a lifecycle for a customer tax role record having a plurality of possible lifecycle states. Subsequent to defining the lifecycle, the method monitors a plurality of customer tax role records that have an active state, and for a monitored record, determines if an expiration date has expired. If the expiration date has not expired, then a new tax obligation is generated for a customer associated with the monitored record. If the expiration date has expired, the state of the lifecycle state of the monitored record is changed to an expired state such that the new tax obligation is not generated. The method then repeats the monitoring for a next active record from the plurality of customer tax role records.
