  • Patent number: 6558537
Abstract: A portable hydration system comprising water disinfection, filtration and pump features. The system comprises an electrolytic oxidant generating cell which utilizes a salt to create oxidants for disinfecting liquids such as water.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 10, 2000
Date of Patent: May 6, 2003
    Assignee: Miox Corporation

  • Patent number: 5385711
Abstract: An electrolytic cell for generating a mixed oxidant that is rich in ozone is disclosed. The cell disassociates a brine solution to generate ozone and chlorine based oxidants. The improved cell design allows the ratio of ozone to the other oxidants to be optimized, thereby providing a more efficient sterilization solution. The ozone production is adjusted by adjusting the residence time of the brine solution in the cell and the orientation of the cell.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 23, 1994
Date of Patent: January 31, 1995
Assignee: Los Alamos Technical Associates, Inc.
Inventors: Forrest A. Baker, Wesley L. Bradford
