Publication number: 20240101104Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide for controlling an autonomous vehicle to enter a driveway. As an example, an instruction to pickup or drop off a passenger at a location may be received. It may be determined that the vehicle is arriving in a lane on an opposite side of a street as the location, the lane having a traffic direction opposite to a traffic direction of a lane adjacent to the location. A difficulty score to maneuver the vehicle to the lane adjacent to the location may be determined, and the difficulty score may be compared to a predetermined difficulty score. Based on the comparison, it may be determined to an available driveway on the same side of the street as the location. The vehicle may be controlled to enter the available driveway.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 6, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Inventors: John Wesley Dyer, Michael Epstein, Jonathan Lee Pedersen

Publication number: 20230210532Abstract: A device for use with a uterine tamponade balloon catheter apparatus, such as the Bakri postpartum hemorrhage balloon, is disclosed. The device comprises a stylet comprising a hub at its proximal end and an atraumatic tip at its distal end. The device is configured to be removably coupled to the tamponade balloon catheter apparatus to aid in the insertion and positioning of the tamponade balloon catheter within the uterine cavity, allowing the balloon to function as intended for the control and management of postpartum hemorrhage and uterine bleeding. The tamponade balloon catheter includes an echogenic element to aid in visualization by ultrasound during insertion and use. Methods of use of the device are also disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 21, 2023Publication date: July 6, 2023Applicant: Cook Medical Technologies LLCInventors: Erin Roberts, Shawn Nichols, Wesley Pedersen

Publication number: 20210085920Abstract: The present embodiments provide strain relief members for a medical device delivery system, methods of use, and methods of manufacturing. In one embodiment, a medical device delivery system may include a body member with a first end having a first outer diameter, a second end having a second outer diameter, an inner surface facing a lumen that extends axially through the body member along a longitudinal axis, and an outer surface opposite to the inner surface. The embodiment also includes a threaded first connector at the first end of the body member. The outer surface of the body member may include a plurality of depressions. The body member may include a first material. The first connector may include a second material. The first material is more flexible than the second material. A portion of the outer surface of the body member may cover a portion of the first connector.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 31, 2020Publication date: March 25, 2021Applicant: Cook Medical Technologies LLCInventors: Erin Roberts, Elizabeth Brown, Jorge L.
