  • Patent number: 7404264
Abstract: The invention relates to covers for seats used in transport vehicles, especially motor vehicles. The covers of the seats are automatically finished as the manufactured seats are transported by a conveyor through at least one treating chamber of a tunnel finisher. All of the seats are treated in the treating chamber at least with steam which smoothes the covers thereof. The inventive finishing treatment results in an even smoothness of said covers, even in areas which are difficult to reach manually.

  • Publication number: 20040200092
Abstract: The invention relates to covers (11) for seats (10) used in transport vehicles, especially motor vehicles. Said covers (11) are manually finished whereby they are smoothed at least steam with the aid of steam. Said manual finishing treatment is not only expensive but also leads to much fluctuation in terms of quality. According to the invention, the covers (11) of the seats (10) are automatically finished as the manufactured seats (10) are transported by a conveyor (14) through at least one treating chamber (116, 17) of a tunnel finisher. All of the seats (10) are treated in the treating chamber (16, 17) at least with steam which smoothes the covers (11) thereof. The inventive finishing treatment results in an even smoothness of said covers (11), even in areas which are difficult to reach manually.

  • Patent number: 6699354
Abstract: The gluing together of flat materials between belt faces (21, 22), facing one another, of belt conveyors (15, 16) arranged over one another is effected usually with the application of heat and pressure. However there are pressure sensitive materials that with the gluing may only be impinged with a slight pressure. Here already the weight of the sagging belt face (21) of the upper belt conveyor may lead to an excessive pressure loading and a permanent deformation of the materials caused by way of this. The invention solves the mentioned problem in that the upper belt face (21) located above the materials to be glued is held up without contact, e.g., by means of suction nozzles or magnets. The sagging of the belt face (21) is alleviated by way of this and an undesirable high pressure loading of the materials to be glued is avoided. By way of the contactless holding-up of the belt face (21) the suction nozzles or magnets do not interfere.

  • Patent number: 4921511
Abstract: In the cleaning of (fluff) screens (17) of an apparatus for smoothing articles of clothing by means of flowing media, the fluff (fluff carpet 19) is sucked off from the fluff screen (17) by means of a suction nozzle (21). To improve the suction effect, blowing air (compressed air) is additionally conveyed through the fluff screen (17) from below in the region of suction via blowing pipes (25, 26). The suction nozzle (21) and the blowing pipes (25, 26) are connected to one another to form the jointly movable cleaning unit (20). This is moved over the fluff screen (17) at intervals of time.

  • Patent number: 4519222
Abstract: Smoothing washed garments (10) in the treatment chamber (11) of a finisher produces a considerable amount of fluff. To remove the fluff from the device in a trouble-free and effective manner the flowing medium carrying the fluff along is passed through a sieve belt (20) which conveys the fluff out of the device. Outside the treatment chamber (11) the fluff is removed in a suitable manner.
