    Abstract: The invention is a unit for pneumatically controlling the position of a workpiece relative to a predetermined workpiece configuration, comprising an enclosure, a minimum of one measuring nozzle for a gaseous pressure medium, which measuring nozzle is located in a contact surface a workpiece fixture. A pressure supply line is connected to the measuring nozzle via pressure lines. Separate adjoining modular enclosure components are detachably connected to one another and each is fitted with a connection leading to measuring nozzle. A first enclosure end cover can be connected to a pressure supply unit and a second enclosure end cover is located at a distance from the first enclosure end cover.     Abstract: A method and an apparatus for determining the dimensional accuracy of workpiece surfaces, for example, of essentially cylindrical workpiece surfaces, wherein a measuring sensor scans the workpiece surfaces in accordance with a predetermined relative movement pattern between sensor and workpiece. The sensor is a pneumatic measuring head, so that the measuring procedure can be incorporated in the production process. The pneumatic measuring head travels over the workpiece surface along a continuous path which covers the surface area of the workpiece. The pneumatic measuring head is maintained at a constant basic or measuring distance from the workpiece surface, so that the measuring range of the measuring head is not exceeded when the measuring head travels over the workpiece surface. The measuring head continuously produces measurement signals, so that the measure procedure can be directly integrated in the production sequence.

    Abstract: A pressure transducer formed as a three-dimensional body is rendered flexible in order to permit fine adjustment of a machine tool seat formed thereon by the formation of holes and slits in the transducer body which cause portions of the body to operate as spring-like webs. An expansion box is located within the transducer and a pressure transmitter separate therefrom is connected thereto to enable pressure from the transmitter to be applied to the expansion box to cause flexing of the transducer body and fine adjustment of the position of the tool seat. Because of the particular arrangement of the holes and slits in the transducer body, the tool seat is able to be moved parallel to itself during the adjustment process.
