  • Patent number: 6005909
Abstract: A method of and operation for controlling the motions of a radiation source (24) and a radiation detector, for example a film cassette (25), in relation to an adjusted slice position, for example a slice level (19), in a linear tomography apparatus without coupling rod, which tomography apparatus includes a table (10) for accommodating an object (18) to be imaged by tomography includes adjustment of a light indicator (17), adjustably mounted on the table (10), to the position of the slice in the object (18), measurement of data indicating the adjusted slice position, application of the measured slice position data to a system control unit (22), and adjustment of the source (24) and the radiation detector (25) in relation to the measured slice position (19) in conformity with the data applied.

  • Patent number: 5263076
Abstract: A lithotripsy workstation, comprises a patient supporting device (1), a shockwave source (4) for generating shockwaves which are focused onto a point (focus) (6) fixed in space, an X-ray source (10) which irradiates the focus (6) from at least two defined positions, and an image detector (12) which detects the X-ray image produced by the X-ray source (10). The cost and the weight of the workstation can be reduced in that a marker (16) which can be displayed in the X-ray image is secured to the X-ray source (10), which marker is situated, at least in the two positions, on the connecting line between the focal spot (11) of the X-ray source (10) and the focus (6).

  • Patent number: 4523420
Abstract: The invention relates to an X-ray examination apparatus comprising a light-tight film processing section with one or more film storage magazines. A film sheet can be removed from the magazine in order to be transported to the exposure position. The apparatus also comprises a cassette loading and unloading station as well as a film guide device. A film sheet can be transported by the film guide device either into the beam path at the exposure position or into a cassette in the cassette loading and unloading station. Thus, cassette exposures can also be made without loading and unloading the cassette in a separate dark room or without a so-called daylight system being necessary.

  • Patent number: 4434501
Abstract: An X-ray film cassette with a lid which is pivotable with respect to a bottom. Between the lid and the bottom is an X-ray film which bears on a pivotable film pressure plate. The film is retained clear of the bottom and the lid by means of springs which bear against the bottom as well as against the lid. The X-ray film has an edge region which projects from the film pressure plate so that it can be engaged by transport rollers. In the X-ray film cassette according to the invention, sticking of the X-ray film is avoided.

  • Patent number: 4015132
Abstract: An X-ray film holder comprising a bent base plate and a flexible cover plate which can be pressed against the base plate by means of a lever. The axis of rotation of the lever is situated substantially in the plane of the base plate. The film holder prevents friction between base plate and cover plate and facilitates the insertion and removal of the film.
