  • Patent number: 10900630
Abstract: A headlight, in particular a headlight of a motor vehicle, having at least one first light source for a high beam, which emits light during operation of the headlight, and a first light guide having at least one light entry surface for the light emerging from the at least one first light source and at least one light exit surface, and at least one second light source for a low beam, which emits light during operation of the headlight, and a second light guide, which has at least one light entry surface for the light, emerging from the at least one second light source, and at least one light exit surface.

  • Patent number: 9422491
Abstract: The invention relates to a shaft gasifier for producing fuel gas from solid carbonaceous material. The shaft gasifier comprising a shaft wall surrounding a shaft gasifier interior, a pyrolysis zone disposed in the shaft gasifier interior, the pyrolysis zone comprising a solid material feed opening for feeding solid carbonaceous material into the shaft gasifier and a solid material discharge opening for discharging partially gasified solid carbonaceous material and a gas discharge opening for pyrolysis gas, an oxidation zone which is disposed in the shaft gasifier interior and which is in thermal contact with the pyrolysis zone, the oxidation zone comprising a gas feed opening connected to the gas discharge opening of the pyrolysis zone for discharging pyrolysis gas out of the pyrolysis zone, and a gas discharge opening. The oxidation zone is disposed between the pyrolysis zone and the shaft wall.

  • Publication number: 20080068930
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for setting a calendar work of a watch, particularly of a radio-controlled clock, after changing the battery. The inventive method comprises the following steps: a. determining if the battery needs to be changed; b. bringing the calendar work into a predetermined reference position; c. determining if the battery has been changed; d. determining the actual date to be set on the calendar work, and; e. setting the determined date on the calendar work starting from the reference position. In order to able to carry out this method, a device having the following individual components is required: a. means for determining if the battery needs to be changed; b. means for bringing the calendar work into a predetermined reference position; c. means for determining if the battery has been changed; d. means for determining the actual date to be set on the calendar work, and; e. means for setting the determined date on the calendar work starting from the reference position.

  • Patent number: 4680774
Abstract: To suppress quantitizing ambiguities upon digital transmission of an analog signal, a random access memory (RAM) (13) is connected at the end terminal of a digital transmission line, and has its output connected to an adder stage (15). The adder stage adds the digital value of +1 to the output from the RAM (13). The value of the digitized data word, incremented by +1, is then compared in a subsequent interrogation cycle of the value at the input to the memory and only if the deviation is greater than .+-.1, a comparator, effecting the comparison, provides a "store" signal for transfer of the new value to the RAM (13). The D/A converters, only then, are changed to provide a changed output analog signal.
