  • Publication number: 20170199070
Abstract: A method of calculating the liquid level in a transportable pressurised gas supply cylinder, by measuring a first capacitance of the cylinder when empty or filled with a first known quantity of pressurised liquefied gas; measuring a second capacitance of the cylinder when filled with a different known quantity of the pressurised liquefied gas; measuring a third capacitance of the cylinder when in an unknown partially filled state; measuring the temperature and pressure in the cylinder; and comparing the third capacitance to the first and second capacitances and taking into account the temperature and pressure to determine the liquid level in the cylinder in the partially filled state.
    Type: Application
    Filed: January 10, 2017
    Publication date: July 13, 2017
    Inventor: Wilhelm Bayerl
  • Publication number: 20160175780
Abstract: A gas mixture, a pressure tank containing the gas mixture, a method that uses the gas mixture during thermal spraying, cutting, joining, deposition welding and/or surface treatment by means of arcs, plasma and/or lasers, a device for preparing the gas mixture and a method for manufacturing the gas mixture are disclosed, wherein the gas mixture contains a protective gas and a protective gas additive selected from the group of ethers, cyclic amines containing at least one ether group, and mixtures thereof.
    Type: Application

  • Patent number: 8130810
Abstract: A laser apparatus comprises a laser having a lasing chamber an inlet to the lasing chamber for a lasing gas containing a heavy noble gas and an outlet from the lasing chamber for the discharge of a flow of lasing gas, wherein the outlet is able to be paced in communication with the atmospheric through an adsorptive trap containing a selective adsorbent of the heavy noble gas. In operation, the heavy noble gas (xenon or krypton) is adsorbed in the trap. The trap may be taken to a remote site for the recovery of the heavy noble gas when it is approaching saturation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 20, 2010
Date of Patent: March 6, 2012
    Assignee: Linde Aktiengesellschaft
