  • Patent number: 6151506
Abstract: A method for restoring subscriber-related or terminal equipment-related information in the databank system of a mobile radiotelephone network, wherein a control means of a first communication network always communicates subscriber-related or, respectively, terminal equipment-related information to the databank system of the mobile radiotelephone network whenever a subscriber or its terminal equipment can be reached for the first time within the first communication network. The control means also communicates this information to the databank system when more than a defined time duration has elapsed since the last communication of these information.

  • Patent number: 5898924
Abstract: A method for the implementation of a connection handover initiated by a cordless terminal equipment in Detect systems with modified standard: After the signaling of the call setup request signal "Connection Hand Over Request", the mobile part also immediately transmits the user data in the newly captured channel. After reception of the "Connection HO Request" forwarded by the newly selected base station, reception in the switching node can therefore be immediately switched thereto (without a gap in the user data transmission). In the transmission direction, the switching equipment can transmit in parallel via both base stations until, for example, an acknowledgment is received from the new base station with respect to the error-free signal output of "Bearer Confirm", or until the mobile part clears down the previous connection.

  • Patent number: 5864755
Abstract: A method for operating a wireless telephone system to provide emergency service for a wireless telephone operating in the wireless telephone system. In the present invention, the wireless telephone system receives a request to connect the wireless phone to a predetermined telephone number from the wireless telephone. The telephone system then queries the wireless telephone for a unique identifying number identifying the wireless telephone. The unique identifying number enables the wireless telephone system to connect the wireless telephone to the wireless telephone system. The wireless telephone system maintains a set of direct inward dialing numbers (DIDs) that are used exclusively for emergency calls. Each of the DID allows a caller outside of the wireless telephone system to direct a call to a telephone within the wireless telephone system. The emergency call is assigned one of these DIDs and that DID is linked to the unique identifying number of the telephone placing the emergency call.

  • Patent number: 5714102
Abstract: An enclosure for an electronic device forms a barrier to electro-magnetic radiation. A typical cross-section of the enclosure comprises three parallel layers. The outer and inner surface layers are of a polymeric base material in which is suspended an electrically conductive fill material, giving the surface layers relatively high electrical conductivity. The middle layer is of a polymeric base material, in which is suspended fill material having high magnetic permeability, giving the middle layer relatively high magnetic permeability. In the preferred embodiment, the enclosure is constructed using a co-injection molding process. Nickel-coated graphite (high conductivity) in a polymeric base is injected into a mold from the outer co-injection nozzle, while carbonyl iron powder (high permeability) in a polymeric base is injected into the mold from the inner co-injection nozzle.

  • Patent number: 4825208
Abstract: A method for flow control of data exchanged via nodes connecting an origin and a destination to one another, in which the nodes are arbitrarily meshed within a data network and are connected to one another via lines and every node is equipped with a transmission memory and a reception memory device, includes the cyclical transmission of a first control signal (FCM1) in a prescribed time sequence and, as needed, a second control signal (FCM2) dependent on a data quantity within a time cycle which exceeds the quantity of data usually transmitted, these control signals being forwarded to the respectively adjacent nodes in case of unimpeded data transmission. In the jam condition, these flow control signals, (FCM1, FCM2) are omitted or modified and, after recognition by the respective nodes effect the inhibition of the corresponding transmission memory means (SS) at such node.

  • Patent number: 4702498
Abstract: A flange connection of pipe pieces having an outer layer composed of a laminate and provided with grooves. A two-part sleeved collar of the same material is radially placed onto the pipe piece. Projections provided on the radially inner surface of the flanged sleeve are placed in the grooves. The two parts of the flanged sleeve are fixedly connected to the pipe pieces by means of gluing, the two parts of the flanged sleeve being held together until the adhesive has cured by means of a flange ring slid onto a conical portion of the flanged sleeve. A cover ring is fastened to the end of the inner layer of the pipe piece made of a thermoplastic material, so that the medium conducted through the pipes does not come into contact with the couter layer and the flanged sleeve.
