Patent number: 7198177Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing a fluid includes a housing, a fluid reservoir placed in the housing, and a pump. The pump includes a nozzle protruding therefrom and an operating part connected to the fluid reservoir. When the operating part is moved from an initial position, in which flow of fluid through the pump from the fluid reservoir to the nozzle is substantially prevented, in a direction of pumping, fluid is pumped from the fluid reservoir to the nozzle. The dispenser also includes a resilient element which, upon movement of the operating part from the initial position, exerts a force opposed to the direction of pumping. The nozzle forms part of the operating part and is at an angle relative to the direction of pumping. The engagement mechanism externally engages an area of a part of the nozzle protruding from the operating part.Type: GrantFiled: May 7, 2004Date of Patent: April 3, 2007Assignee: Bentfield Europe B.V.Inventor: Wilhelmus Everhardus Ganzeboom

Patent number: 6041967Abstract: Rapid connecting assembly for an aerosol can and a dispensing device. The rapid connecting assembly consists of a first part which is to be connected to the aerosol can and is supplied together with the aerosol can. The second part of the rapid connecting assembly is connected to the dispensing device. A tubular holder is present in this second part, for receiving the tubular part projecting from the aerosol can when the dispensing device and the aerosol can are being connected to each other. For simple connection of the two parts, one of the parts is provided with a lug and the other part is provided with a peripheral edge. The peripheral edge is provided with a flattened part for receiving the lug.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 1998Date of Patent: March 28, 2000Assignee: Bentfield Europe B.V.Inventor: Wilhelmus Everhardus Ganzeboom

Patent number: 5938076Abstract: A dispenser to be fitted on the top of an aerosol can so as to atomize a very small quantity of the contents of the aerosol can at regular intervals automatically. An attachment having an electrically operated valve is secured to the aerosol can. Operation of the valve takes place via a controller which is supplied by power by a photovoltaic or solar panel. In this way, it is ensured that dispensing the desired material takes place only when there is sufficient light striking the solar panel.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 1996Date of Patent: August 17, 1999Assignee: Averyck Engineering Consultants B.V.Inventor: Wilhelmus Everhardus Ganzeboom

Patent number: 5732853Abstract: Dosing unit comprising a dispensing device and a container bag unit. The container bag unit has an imperforate wall. A sleeve-shaped part having an opening therethrough is secured to the wall, the wall closing one end of the sleeve-shaped part. A piercing element with a point is disposed within the sleeve with its point directed toward the wall. A dispensing device is receivable in the end of the sleeve-shaped part opposite the wall to engage the piercing element and to move the piercing element relative to the sleeve to pierce the wall to permit flow of the contents of the bag unit through the sleeve-shaped part and to and through the dispensing device. The piercing element is fixed to the sleeve-shaped part by a rupturable connection that breaks when the dispensing device presses against the piercing element.Type: GrantFiled: March 26, 1997Date of Patent: March 31, 1998Assignee: Bentfield Europe B.V.Inventors: Wilhelmus Everhardus Ganzeboom, Wouter Jan Ten Wolde
