  • Patent number: 10669169
Abstract: A thermal and non-thermal plasma activated water reactor system is provided that includes a reaction chamber, where the reaction chamber includes a gas inlet, a water inlet, a gas and water outlet, a ground electrode and reaction electrodes, where the water inlet and the water outlet are disposed to form a water vortex in the reaction chamber when water flows there through, where the reaction electrodes include a thermal plasma electrode and a non-thermal plasma electrode, and a plasma activated water reservoir that is disposed to receive the plasma activated water from the reaction chamber and disposed to return the plasma activated water to the reaction chamber.

  • Patent number: 8004420
Abstract: A security lighting system and method are intended to dispel and/or affect unwanted humans or animals by providing lighting that varies with a suitable switching frequency, such as between 5 and 70 Hz. The lighting of a light source of the system may be varied by a control unit as to intensity, color, pattern etc., with a preferred switching frequency being between about 15 and 20 Hz for humans. A proximity detector may be provided to activate the system when an unwanted presence is detected. Such varying lighting causes feelings of physical and psychological discomfort, which have found to be effective in chasing away animals and dispelling or disorienting humans.

  • Patent number: 7692136
Abstract: A portable illumination device, for illuminating an object through a medium having an absorption coefficient, has a lighting unit including at least two differently colored light sources for emitting light having a color distribution and a control unit for adjusting the color distribution. The control unit is adapted to receive a distance estimate corresponding to the distance between the illumination device and the object, and adjust the color distribution depending on the distance estimate, such that light reflected from the object is perceived to have substantially correct color reproduction.

  • Publication number: 20100047138
Abstract: The invention relates to a reactive oxygen species (ROS) generator (32), a washing device (30) and a washing method using such a ROS generator. The reactive oxygen species (ROS) generated by such a generator provide excellent washing power, and degrade organic stains rapidly to environmentally acceptable products. The generator according to the invention consumes less energy for a. comparable washing effect as compared to conventional washing machines.

  • Publication number: 20080198009
Abstract: The present invention provides a security lighting system and method, that are intended to dispel and/or affect unwanted humans or animals (20) by providing lighting that varies with a suitable switching frequency, such as between 5 and 70 Hz. The lighting of a light source (14a, 14b) of the system may be varied by a control unit (12) as to intensity, color, pattern etc., with a preferred switching frequency being between about 15 and 20 Hz for humans. A proximity detector (16a, 16b) may be provided to activate the system when an unwanted presence is detected. Such varying lighting causes feelings of physical and psychological discomfort, which have found to be effective in chasing away animals (20), and dispelling or disorienting humans.
