  • Patent number: 12000302
Abstract: An aircraft engine repair tool for installing and/or removing a mid turbine frame from a gas turbine engine is provided. The tool includes a stabilizer configured to support a shaft via a load path different from a load path provided by the mid turbine frame rotatably supporting the shaft about a rotation axis. The tool includes a holder attachable to the mid turbine frame, and a guide movably engageable with the shaft and attachable to the holder. The guide guides movement of the holder and of the mid turbine frame relative to the shaft along the rotation axis, and prevents movement of the holder and the mid turbine frame relative to the shaft transverse to the rotation axis when the mid turbine frame is released from the support structure and attached to the holder, and when the holder is attached to the guide.

  • Patent number: 11993183
Abstract: A seat slide device includes a pair of sliders each including a fixed rail, a movable rail slidably guided by the fixed rail, a bracket on the movable rail configured so that front and rear sides swing opposite to each other in a vertical direction with a longitudinal-intermediate part as a fulcrum, a support bracket supported on the bracket via a hinge and configured to rotate in only one direction from a predetermined orientation about an lateral-direction axis relative to the bracket, a movement-restricting portion configured to restrict sliding of the movable rail while a rear part of the bracket is raised and to release the restriction while the rear part of the bracket is lowered; and a towel bar connecting each support bracket. The hinge part prohibits a rotation of the support bracket while the towel bar is lifted and permits the rotation while the towel bar is lowered.

  • Patent number: 11994591
Abstract: Sensors, including time-of-flight sensors, may be used to detect objects in an environment. In an example, a vehicle may include a time-of-flight sensor that images objects around the vehicle, e.g., so the vehicle can navigate relative to the objects. The sensor may generate first image data at a first configuration and second image data at a second configuration. An estimated depth of an object may be determined from the first image data, and an actual depth of the object may be determined from the second image data, based on the estimated depth. In examples, the first and second configurations have different modulation frequencies such that a nominal maximum depth in the first configuration is greater than the nominal maximum depth in the second configuration.

  • Publication number: 20240171062
Abstract: An adaptive electrical power distribution panel receives electrical power from at least an alternative power source other than a utility electric grid, and selectively outputs power to a plurality of branch circuits, appliances, or devices. An internal or remote controller monitors conditions. In response to the monitored conditions, the controller algorithmically divides the plurality of branch circuits, appliances, or devices into a first group to receive power from the alternative power source and a second group to not receive power from the alternative power source, and breaks electrical connections between the alternative power source and the second group. The monitored conditions may include operating parameters the grid; an instantaneous or average individual current flow; and a charge state of storage batteries. The division into groups may also be in response to stored information, such as a priority of, or history of current usage by, each branch circuit, appliance, or device.

  • Patent number: 11988775
Abstract: Sensors, including time-of-flight sensors, may be used to detect objects in an environment. In an example, a vehicle may include a time-of-flight sensor that images objects around the vehicle, e.g., so the vehicle can navigate relative to the objects. Sensor data generated by the time-of-flight sensor can be impacted by glare. In some examples, an emitter system for illuminating a field of view can be dynamically altered to provide different illumination intensities at different regions in the field of view. For instance, locations at which a highly-reflective object or other object that is likely to cause glare may be illuminated at a lower illumination intensity, e.g., to reduce the likelihood of pixel saturation in measured data associated with the object.

  • Patent number: 11989960
Abstract: A method for selecting a final model for detecting cells of interest in image datasets includes dividing a curated image dataset into a training set, a validation set, and a testing set where each image in the curated image dataset has been labeled as positive or negative for a cell of interest. The method trains each model of an ensemble of neural networks using the training and validation sets. Next, each model of the ensemble is tested using the testing set and the predictions of the ensemble are combined. The combined prediction is compared to the label and the method determines whether the combined prediction satisfies a pre-determined level of detection (LOD). If so, the method outputs the ensemble as a final ensemble. If not, the method modifies a hyperparameter of at least one of the models of the ensemble until the combined prediction satisfies the pre-determined LOD.

  • Publication number: 20240153312
Abstract: A guest assistance platform may analyze video data of an environment that includes a liquid substance. The video data is analyzed using a machine learning model trained to detect objects in the liquid substance. The guest assistance platform may detect an individual in the liquid substance based on analyzing the video data and may determine a measure of confidence associated with detecting the individual in the liquid substance. The guest assistance platform may determine one or more confidence factors associated with detecting the individual in the liquid substance. The guest assistance platform may modify the measure of confidence using the one or more confidence factors and may determine whether the modified measure of confidence satisfies a confidence threshold. The guest assistance platform may selectively cause assistance to be provided to the individual or continue analyzing the video data based on whether the modified measure of confidence satisfies the confidence threshold.

  • Publication number: 20240154927
Abstract: Techniques for a framework associated with a group-based communication platform for enabling applications to scale events to be distributable to various users over a communication platform are described. For example, a group-based communication platform may receive a message from a first application to send to a second application. The group-based communication platform may identify a topic and an event associated with the message. The group-based communication platform may then send the message to a queue associated with the second application, wherein the queue is associated with the topic and a user of the second application. The group-based communication platform may then cause presentation of the message to the user. In some examples messages may be sent bidirectionally, such that a message may be sent from the second application to the first application.
