Patent number: 10293903Abstract: What is provided is a propeller guard apparatus that may be readily configured to a variety of different boat motors. Described embodiments of the propeller guard apparatus comprise a cylindrical housing configured to circumferentially enclose a propeller from all sides in order to protect humans, pets, and aquatic wildlife from being entangled or cut by the propeller. Described embodiments of the propeller guard apparatus also comprise a protective structure, such as a skid plate comprising of at least two pieces of metal attached from the cylindrical housing to an end of the outer casing to form a folded T-shaped configuration. This type of configuration serves to protect the propeller from damage caused by submerged objects and aquatic wildlife found in shallow water. Also, the folded T-shaped configuration may push vegetation, weeds, manatees, and other aquatic wildlife away from the path of the moving boat and its propeller.Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 2017Date of Patent: May 21, 2019Assignee: Manatee Saver, LLCInventor: William Fitzpatrick

The cavity is defined by a top end wall, a bottom end wall and a sidewall and has a longitudinal axis along its length is defined. The resonator element is positioned within the cavity along the longitudinal axis and includes a mounting flange. The resonator element is only in physical contact with the cavity through the mounting flange at a mounting location and where at least one resonant mode of the electromagnetic energy exhibits a local minimum. The dimensions of the cavity and the resonator element are selected so that the associated electromagnetic energy is defined by an electromagnetic field pattern that substantially repeats itself at least twice along the length of the resonator.Type: GrantFiled: September 1, 2011Date of Patent: December 3, 2013Assignee: Com Dev International Ltd.Inventors: Antonio Panariello, Ming Yu, Mihai Vladimirescu, William A. Publication number: 20070204241Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a method for generating a three dimensional representation of a staircase in a computer aided design drawing. Generally, embodiments of the invention allow a user to create a three dimensional stair object with an arbitrary tread shape and with an arbitrary overlap between any two adjacent treads. A user creates or specifies line work elements in a two dimensional plan view to represent aspects the desired staircase, and a computer aided design application generates a three dimensional stair object from this information. Once generated, a three dimensional stair object may be manipulated using a variety of user selectable grips, simplifying both the design process and work required to modify a three dimensional stair object included in a CAD drawing.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 28, 2006Publication date: August 30, 2007Inventors: William Glennie, Gamal Kira, William Fitzpatrick

Patent number: 6535087Abstract: An externally temperature-compensated microwave resonator comprises a microwave resonator and an external temperature compensator. The microwave resonator is a multi-cavity waveguide. The cavities are configured side-by-side and coupled through irises. The external temperature compensator is oriented and configured to effect a change in volume of the cavities when the resonator and compensator undergo a temperature gradient. The compensator deflects a wall portion of the resonator to accordingly counteract a change in volume of the cavity caused by a temperature gradient.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2000Date of Patent: March 18, 2003Assignee: COM DEV LimitedInventors: William Fitzpatrick, Ming Yu, David Smith, Apu Sivadas

Patent number: 6459346Abstract: A microwave filter has a set of irises to couple cavities within the filter. A trifurcated iris comprises a central iris and a pair of peripheral irises. The peripheral irises are configured and oriented to couple a primary mode having a magnetic field in the axial direction of a filter cavity. The central iris is configured and oriented to couple a secondary mode having a magnetic field in the azimuthal direction of the filter cavity. The configuration of the trifurcated iris is further oriented to minimize the influence of higher order signals such as the TE21X mode. The peripheral iris are oriented at null points of the primary TE21X mode and the central iris is also located at a null point. An input and an output iris are configured to receive electromagnetic energy in the axial direction of the filter. The input and output irises are oriented to minimize signals in the TE21X secondary mode and any TM modes.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2000Date of Patent: October 1, 2002Assignee: COM DEV LimitedInventors: Apu Sivadas, Ming Yu, David Smith, William Fitzpatrick
