  • Publication number: 20180010477
Abstract: An apparatus includes a pipeline-transport compressor configured to receive, in use, a product stream from a pipeline. The cooler unit is configured to receive, in use, a cooler air intake from the pipeline-transport compressor. This is done in such a way that removal of the cooler air intake by the cooler unit, in use, moves the cool air across the cooler bundles and out through the cooler unit, and cools the pipeline-transport compressor. An air exhaust power generation unit is configured to generate, in use, electric power in response to the cooler unit, in use, urging, at least in part, the cooler air intake toward, at least in part, the air exhaust power generation unit.

  • Patent number: 5604742
Abstract: A communication adapter transfers synchronous or multimedia and asynchronous or packet data between a network which may be of a FDDI type and a host system in real time. The adapter can manage data transfer in both directions between the system and the network and automatically switches between multimedia and packet data while holding the token. The adapter includes a queue manager having a synchronous threshold register and counter and a packet data threshold register and counter. The queue manager is coupled among a host bus; a storage means; a FDDI network; and bandwidth control logic. The queue manager in conjunction with the bandwidth control logic can dynamically switch the adapter from transmitting packet or synchronous data to the FDDI without exceeding bandwidth. The queue manager is also adapted to initiate capture of the token on a FDDI and commence transmission of synchronous or packet data frames to the ring as early as possible.

  • Patent number: 4082003
Abstract: An improved pellet sampler and method of sampling pellets is disclosed. The apparatus is an opening in a conduit, such as the open end of a pipe, exposed to flowing pellets and communicating with an auger which revolves to remove a small portion of the flowing pellets as a sample. The improvement is the fixed opening having a plane at an angle between parallel and normal, preferably 45.degree., to the flow of pellets coinciding with the auger feed end and normal to the auger axis. The method is to revolve the auger at a measured rate to collect a uniform sample.
